2008 NFL Draft (Projections/Mock Drafts/Evaluations/Draft)

Considering their complete refusal to keep up with the draft, is there a reason they refuse to show the last few picks on screen more than once every few hours?

The more I listen to people bitch the happier I am that I watch nfl networks broadcast. They always stopped talking to show the actual pick,

I knew he ran a bad time, but didn't know about the private workout session. I guess I'm not surprised if he did that. He deserves it..

And when he ran the bad time he threw Oklahoma under the bus, saying they they made him run a turf, instead of the track. And wouldn't tell him where he was running. Basiclly I think he left a big sour taste in allot of teams mouths with his attitude.

I dont know who the hell he is so im not gonna open my mouth TOO much, but someone please tell me that I am completely off base in questioning how the bengals could take Jerome Simpson ahead of limas sweed, malcolm kelly, and desean Jackson? Or the fact that Fred Davis, Calais Campbell, and Quinten groves were both still available.

Normally I would kind of agree with you, but the fact that other teams that had a big wr need passed up on these guys several times tells me that there is/was something there that made quite a few teams avoid them and take other places. I will be interested to see where Mario ends up, seems like he is dropping like a lead balloon. Day 2 overall should be interesting seems like there is some major value to be had.

Envious. Had to cancel DTV install (long story) but will be hopping the fence this fall.

Smart marketing move, if you ask me. With the old system, it's tough for nominal fans to check in after round 4 when many of the names are nobodies.

Now, there's plenty of fringe interest in Manningham, Connor, etc type guys...

I'm pretty content with the Panthers draft..

I don't like giving up next years first, but we really needed a franchise running back and I have never thought that DeAngelo Williams could get it done on his own. Only reason Stewart was chosen over Mendenhall is because he graded out as a better receiver, apparently. Not to mention we solidified that offensive line with Otah.

Couple surprises in the draft.. really surprised that Malcolm Kelly fell so far..

Oklahoma wr's have not done very well when they have been drafted. See Wilson who was drafted by the Browns last year in one of the later rounds but overall the wr that have come from there have not proven themselves in the NFL.
