Oh, that's good news on Adams. I thought he would be a redshirt after the surgery, but it sounds as if he'll be ready to go for August. It's going to be a heated battle at RT in fall camp.

They way I understood it, if it were during the season he would play through the injury, and have surgery after the season, but since it is april, he will go ahead and have the surgery now. That being said, the recuperation from the surgery will probably keep him out until October (which may or may not lead to a redshirt, depending on how stuff is going i guess) not the severity of the injury.

You are correct ShakerBuck, he will be out until possibly October...a redshirt will be likely unless we have multiple OL injuries during fall camp...

Too late to backpedal now - we have all bookmarked links to your prediction Henton will start vs YSU.

We don't get you often Mili - but when we get the chance....
Can't back-pedal...I have a hard enough time making it forward.

Lol at Henton starting the YSU game but seriously, how is the RT position shaping up? Boone will be the starting left tackle but somebody has to take over for Barton. I've heard that JB Shugarts has been very impressive but Browning has some expierence in the system, along with Skinner who is coming off of an injury. Seems like we might have a true freshman starting tackle against USC, a converted guard with no playing time or a guy recovering from a serious injury.

Word is that Browning has been impressive in camp at RT. I believe he played the same position in H.S. Skinner is still battling knee problems. Shuggarts has been impressive, but I believe twisted an ankle in camp. If Shuggarts wins the position, I'm not concerned that he's a true Freshman.

Browning did really well last spring too and was generally regarded as the 6th man on the line last year. At this point, it's Browning's position to lose. That said though, 'twas unfortunate that Adams went down with that injury. He could have given him a run for his money.
