One of those quirks of the draft - a run on Defensive players. 3 in a row with Mayo top start it off.
I really like these last two picks. Solid players that fill real needs for both teams.
Sheer speed isn't everything and one 40-time isn't an indicator of a player's ability. Flowers seems to get in the right place at the right time and has multiple interceptions to his name - and as you we saw earlier this one tough kid who can suit up as CB or can play as a hard hitting safety. Knows how to shed blocks and get tackles for loss - good solid pick and the Vikings will make good use of his talents.
On Sims - this is another of those prototypical faster DTs out of the SEC - yeah "SEC Speed" I know - but for Sims it is really about strength and penetration, his ability to disrupt the running game is something the Bengals have sorely lacked these last few seasons. Not just a good pick for Cincinnati almost a "must pick" to shore up a leaky D that has been one of the worst against the run.

Patrick Lee is a really interesting prospect - whose position on draft boards has varied from very high to a mid-rounder.
What characterizes Lee, more than anything else, is potential - his upside.
He came out of the talent rich Miami Florida area with a reputation as a very gifted athlete. State long jump champion and a speedy but large DB.
Lee has all the physical traits you look for in a corner - speed he recorded a 4.41 at the NFL Combine and at 200 pounds he isn't going to get easily out-muscled by most Wide Receivers. A steady presence for Auburn in his prior 3 years of play, this 5th-year Senior really came on in his 2007 campaign recording 55 tackles and 4 interceptions.
Lee has also played strong roles in the return game on kick-offs and could see time as a gunner on punt returns.
