I don't mind little changes here and there (at least to the road jersey) but certain uniforms shouldn't be experimentation grounds for the latest fad in wacky stripes.
First of all not so much, because Nike had been the uniform provider for I dunno how long - about 15 years or so - and put the stupid piping on anyway, and quite recently. Second, I'm sure you wouldn't be insinuating our coach had anything to do with it.Jaxbuck;1186478; said:Stop me if you've heard this before but thats what happens when you bring in outsiders who don't have any respect or understanding for the way things have been done in the past.

That's not even close to what I'm saying, and Jax knew it.OCBucksFan;1186619; said:Really? You're defense is "What if it was you?" Come on, give me a break. It isn't us, we try to hire coaches that know the traditions, colors, and what it is to be the coach at THE Ohio State University.
That's a weak defense, wait... we're talking about tsun, so I guess that's pretty common.
Lloyd didn't put a stop to the piping. So what pattern do you see?You honestly think the coach couldn't put a stop to any uniform changes he didn't like?
THat is funny but I have to ask if thats how you do it in court too?Buckeyeskickbuttocks;1186683; said:Wait a minute.... I was reading back to try and figure out where all this uni discussion started and suddenly I realized #55 is a Michigan player. When I saw Jwin's post above, I didn't realize that #55 was a Michigan man. That is to say, when I saw the uni, I assumed it was a West Virginia kid under the Smiley.
And... for what it's worth, Nike doesn't just unilaterally decide "Hey, [insert major college client], we're changing your shit. Don't like it? Tough" Some one at Michigan signed off on that.

You guys look just like West Virginia...

But it's for Craig Roh and Kennan Graham, both have family in Michigan/ have visited Michigan. We trail for both, but it'd be in Michigan's best interest to have Kennard commit to USC and hopefully cause one of the others to fall to Michigan. USC had 5 DEs last year, and will have 5 DEs this year including 3 true freshman, so I don't know how many there taking, but it'd nice to get both Graham and Roh at Michigan. We're also starting to move on more under the radar prospects, so that's something we'll hear about later.
What I realistically expect to get in the D-End class is one of Roh and Graham, and a surprise recruit like a Jason Ankrah, then maybe a sleeper who earns an offer during the upcoming season.
LB is a helluva lot easier. We're looking to take whoever commits first out of Jordan Barnes, Julius Ferrell (if we offer him at camp this week), and DeDe Lattimore out of Georgia. The staff are higher on the first two, so it's probably between them. I heard we're only looking for one LB, since we had an excellent crop last year, but if we can pull in a LB who has the frame to potentially put his hand on the ground we'd take 2.
Hope that helps for you, buddy.
It can be quite effective.Best Buckeye;1186686; said:THat is funny but I have to ask if thats how you do it in court too?
True. Probably the same person who signed off on the Nike piping.Buckeyeskickbuttocks;1186683; said:And... for what it's worth, Nike doesn't just unilaterally decide "Hey, [insert major college client], we're changing your shit. Don't like it? Tough" Some one at Michigan signed off on that.
When they first debuted, I thought those "diaper" cuts were going to be more embarrassing. Both turned out to be hardly visible.HailToMichigan;1186936; said:True. Probably the same person who signed off on the Nike piping.
