There was plenty of talk of UM being right in it for Schofield on various boards. There weren't any hints of him today or anything, though.

A very nice pickup for RR, and a step in the right direction. OL is less of an issue moving forward with their youth and talent brought in last year. I don't think that position is all that "concerning" for now, after this verbal.

DE is still the elephant in the room, until some quality verbals run it away. 15 seems to have a lot of chickens counted.

Here are a couple names that I think we should probably get one of. Not all of them have been officially offered, but Michigan's in the final five for Zach Martin, who has been offered (though if he decides on UVA instead I certainly wouldn't have heartache about that.)

It should also be noted that Schofield's commit came out of almost nowhere, without a whole lot of previous indication that Michigan was even heavily in the mix let alone leading in any way, which is why I'm not too worried about claims that we're doing so terrible because we only "lead" for two or three players.
I agree that you will absolutely land a couple more OL/DL recruits, scUM is still a brand name and the name will get some kids. Question is, will they be the calibre of kids that can succeed in the Big-10? You have to admit that your recruiting along the lines is way below par compared to under Carr and company.

The home unis were fine. These away ones lend credence to NFBuck's "Morgantown North" schtick.

New Adidas unis... pretty much the same.

Will they avoid the Neb, ND, UCLA, etc program curse of the three stripes? :p

In RR system he doesn't want protypical NFL OL...He wants his OL around 285-290 LBS and not a pound more. They need to be able to run and have very good fitness with the offensive system he runs. Definately a good pick-up that fits their system.

Last time I checked DE was part of the DL...DE is a huge ? for Michigan down the road.

I'm glad they continue to get offensive players. I hope their class consist of at least 66% offensive players. The only position I think they are good is DT. They need to add depth at every other position.

From the above link, these are from some ladies camp with RR, or something like that. So there's probably still a chance these are just the practice rags from Adidas. Very MAC-esque.
Well, they were also modeling what looked like a pretty standard home jersey. And you're right. All that extra striping and crap looks like something Ball State or Toledo would wear. Now, the white jersey has undergone quite a number of changes in the past. That doesn't mean I have to like it. At least the Nike piping (though it also looked stupid) didn't show up on TV.

Problem with DE is that we've offered some good players, but none of them, except Fellows, have even come close to narrowing down their list, so it's hard to tell where we stand. LaLota, for example, seems pretty happy right now raking in the offers and taking his time narrowing them down.

I know Michigan fans are thumping their chest about the speed they have been recruiting. I wish they would actually pay attention to the athletes we have been recruiting. Michigan better have an awesome defense with the speed we are recruiting. The thought of Pryor, Saine, Thomas, and possibly Berry in the same backfield is downright scary.

No doubt! You guys have a great class going and your future looks very bright, but so does ours and I thought maybe you would give Rich a little bit of credit for doing a good job on the recruiting trail.

He hasn't done a good job until he shows he can recruit good defensive players IMO. I'll judge Rodriguez based on his defensive line class this year. That will tell me if he's a good recruiter. Getting 8 slots is good and all, but that hardly makes him a good recruiter. Penn State can recruit the hell out of linebackers, but that doesn't mean State Penn is good at recruiting.

Last year we addressed a major hole in our recruiting efforts...DT...It has carried over this year. I am very happy we have gotten several DT that have awesome potential. I'm not saying that the current players we have are slouches but DT has been an area of concern.

Michigan must adress their defensive recruiting as a whole. I know they got some good linebackers last year and cissoko. The problem I have with cissoko is that he is too short. I think he should bulk up and move to safety. The kid has alot of talent but I think he ill get torched as a corner. Michigans depth chart doesn't look all that impressive.

Chris Freeman should fit right in. Or is that just the party line for why Boren is no longer with the team?

If he moves to safety then you've got him covering TE's that are 6-6 and around 250 pounds... or with how most offenses are shifting to the spread these days, a hybrid WR/TE who's still going to pack around 6-5 220.
