Sure it was a nice catch, but Mili's trying to make it seem like it's the greatest catch ever.

And I'm not losing my composure. I just find it pretty dumb that Mili tries to be such an e-badass.

Robiskie vs. Trent is a mismatch, but sorry I don't think Robiskie is that good. Trent is a mediocre corner, Robiskie a slightly average WR. You guys make it sound as if he's some god out there, and to me, he isn't. You should probably get 1,000 yards in a season to be considered an elite WR, but hey that's just my opinion.

Oh whoops that wasn't solicited. Sorry MiliBuckeye

I think Mili just stated it was Big 10 catch of the year. Anyways, I also think Robo is a lot better than what you are giving him credit for. He runs fanatstic routes and has amazing hands. He would have been at worst a second round pick. No way he slides into the 3rd round.

By nature, doesn't that make it a mismatch? Unless "mediocre" = "slightly average" (assuming you mean slightly above average).

As far as the 1,000 yard portion. Ohio State isn't known for producing that type of reciever (in terms of yardage often). For example Joey Galloway never got 1000. Michael Jenkins got 1000 and the next year didn't, does that mean he isn't "elite" anymore.

.....and that doesn't take into account that Robiskie was nicked up the 2nd half of the year. Right around the time his production dropped off. Interesting.....

No I did say it was a mismatch.

I didn't know Robiskie was hurt.

That's debateable, but I'm not going to convince anyone and you're not going to convince me, so it's best we drop it IMO.

Good points btw OCBuckFan.

And I'm glad Witherspoon is staying. He's a huge recruit. Fast, aggressive, he's one of those LBs that seems to make a lot of plays in the backfield.

This Robo thing has caused you to make some posts that are not usual for you. It seems to have gotten under your skin slightly. Why, I don't know.

What we do know, that isn't your opinion or Mili's opinion or my opinion, is that Robo's Catch against Minny was named Catch of the Year. The opponent is irrelevant...it was an awesome fucking catch and those whose opinions do matter on judging these type of things thought it was worthy of an award.

Another thing that we do know, not your opinion not Mili's opinion not my opinion, but the opinion of the good folks at nfldraftscout (link provided by shakerbuck, yet it is not shakerbuck's opinion) is that right now Robo is slated to go in the 1st or 2nd round of the 2009 draft. Now the people whose opinion does matter in these type of things has Robo rated there. So when you infer that it is debatable when another states that Robo won't slide to 3rd round, that is based on what....your possibly biased opinion?

The prior two paragraphs aren't meant to convince you of anything. Just that they are based on others opinions, no one here or you, and whose opinions carry more weight than yours or ours combined. Again, when looking at these facts and "arguing" against them and then saying that it is just "opinion"....well that isn't your normal posting pattern.

But hey, keep the chin up. Some year, scUM will have a highly touted WR (like Edwards or Manningham) who actually does make catches in The Game when they matter :wink2:.

are you being serious??

It is a damn good LB class assuming all sign (Hill, Witherspoon, Fitzgerald, Demens, Wilson if he were to play LB) but there's no way it's the best defensive class. Not enough DBs (Only Cissoko and Brandon Smith), not enough DL (Martin) and not one bonafide superstar.

If I'm not mistaken OSU has had more WR's make rosters(not draft choices) than any other school in the last 20 years. Hell Bam Childress has played in games for NE...catching TD passes. He wasn't even a top 4 WR. OSU is WR U and anyone who says different is full of shit.

Let's take it easy soldier. I can think of several college teams with much better claims to that throne than us.

Like fucking who ^ Miami...FSU...Michigan...USC...I trump anybody those schools have produced with Chris Carter. David Boston, Glenn, Galloway, Holms, Graham, Jenkins, Ginn, Gonzo, Drew Carter, and the list goes on and on. GMAFB FSU and Miami have been good for 25 years we have been doing it for over 100. I guess Shocky and Winslow have impressed you:!

We dominate in quantity, but when it comes to productivity I think there are some better college producers at this point.

When I made my original post I did not think about our most recent class of Gonzalez and Ginn, and didn't think about Holmes either.
That's my bad. I still think until we have big-time producers outside of Joey Galloway, I'd put a couple before OSU.

You forgot 3 first rounders in the last 3 years?

Even with that, I agree (for the most part).

I will add this though. Quantity outshines "quality" IMO because "quality" is inherit to making it to, and staying in, the NFL.
