Weak game by Texas today. Only a 21-13 win over Arkansas St. Colt, my Heisman pick, threw 2 int's.

Arkansas State actually had more first downs, more rushing yardage, more passing yardage, more time of possession, and won the turnover battle, despite dropping what could have been a couple more picks of McCoy.

The key was 3rd-downs, where Texas was 9-15 and Ark-St was 3-12.

Longhorns fan nearly castrated in bloody bar scuffle

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP)
-- To some Oklahoma football fans, there are things that just aren't done in the heart of Sooner Nation, and one of them is to walk into a bar wearing a Texas Longhorns T-shirt.

That's exactly what touched off a bloody skirmish that left a Texas-shirt-wearing fan nearly castrated and an Oklahoma fan facing aggravated assault charges that could put him in prison for up to five years.

Freshman defensive back Ben Wells, 18, who was riding with Gatewood when he was pulled over late Wednesday, was given a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.

Gatewood, 22, was charged with two counts of possession of a dangerous drug. It was his second drug-related arrest in a year, although misdemeanor possession charges were dropped after his arrest last September. He was suspended for a game.

AUSTIN, Texas
-- Texas freshman running back James Henry has been charged with two felony counts of obstruction and tampering with evidence, making him the sixth Longhorns player arrested since June.

Henry, who was arrested Monday, is accused of beating up one of the victims of a July home invasion that allegedly involved two other players, Andre Jones and Robert Joseph.

Henry was booked into Travis County Jail where bond was set at $30,000. He was released Tuesday morning and coach Mack Brown said he was suspended indefinitely from the team.

Not if he keeps winning. That was Fulmer's problem, didn't he break double digits in one year?
Yep - not so long ago. The Knoxville papers were right up his rear end about that during the season in question. Notably, this hit a head in a season with a very poor record for the Vols - 2005 - though the problems were there in the prior year as well. (Just not given much weight while the Vols were going 10-3.)
