You did say he was "sticking to his man" at one point...

and i clearly meant the browns should draft him. he had a good college career, did he not?

You've also talked about Phil looking at a CB in the first 2 rounds, which won't happen.

I guess someone didn't pay attention to the CB's that Phil talked to at the senior bowl:(

very possible (aaron ross and josh wilson)

According to Phil on the Browns' website, Cleveland staff talked to every player at the Senior Bowl. So the fact that he talked to a couple of CBs doesn't mean anything.

If you call being smoked to the point that he was nearly standing still against EVERY quality opponent he faced, then yeah sure, he had a great career....

They talked with EVERYONE at the Senior Bowl, just like most other teams did. And no there won't be any CBs drafted by the Browns in the first 2 rounds....

Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage spoke extensively with cornerback Josh Wilson.
The OBR's man in Mobile this week reports that Phil Savage personally has been talking to mostly cornerbacks.

From the above article:

28. Leon Hall, cornerback, Michigan ? He is listed as a top 10 pick all over the place, but he lacks the true straight-line speed to hang with most of the top-rated receivers in this draft. Hall will be a solid pro because of his work ethic, instincts and ability to read/see the ball early and make plays. However, you can't leave him alone in man coverage all day without having a big play or two occur against you.

So why is he in the top 30???? A first round pick should be expected to be able to handle one on one in man.

31. Levi Brown, offensive tackle, Penn State ? He's an experienced and athletic lineman, but he did not stand out this season after getting banged up early. Brown is now looking to rebound with a big week at the combine. Some teams will find it hard to pass him up earlier than this spot, but I have doubts about him ever reaching his full potential.

32. Patrick Willis, inside linebacker, Mississippi ? A terrific defender that brings an emotional presence to the field, Willis showed much better range than anticipated during Senior Bowl practices. Both the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers seemed to keep a closer eye on him throughout the week in Mobile. In fact, Niners linebacker coach Mike Singletary appeared to enjoy coaching the former SEC standout.

I'd rate these two, especially Brown, higher. I've always been very impressed with Brown's game. I wouldn't be surprised if he's taken in the top ten this year.

10. Atlanta Falcons ? Ted Ginn Jr., wide receiver/return man, Ohio State. Bobby Petrino has been successful at every stop along the way, using a variety of schemes, formations and, most importantly, playmakers in a variety of roles. Ginn has been outspoken in his desire to play some defense at cornerback, so he'll fit right in with the Falcons' other elite playmakers in cornerback DeAngelo Hall, running backs Warrick Dunn and Jerious Norwood, and quarterback Michael Vick.
