I think it had a strategic value you seem to be ignoring/disbelieving.No call was made b/c Finley barely touched Nash, if at all. You can get a foul call without decking someone to the ground.

He sure seemed like he was sending a message more than stopping the clock.

blah blah blah. same defense i had for oden. gotta make sure its called.

Can't stop laughing at the Nash acting job at the end of that. :slappy:

yup, though its not illegal and no measure is in place to do anything about it. a rule ive said for a long time a diving/flopping rule should be in place.

Yep I didn't notice that until rewatching these youtube videos. Personally, I'd fine Nash for that before his teammates.

I'd love for the NBA to clamp down on acting, much like they were supposed to do in soccer (hand out cards for flops).

how? its not in the rulebook how do you fine a guy?

Interestingly, hockey has a penalty for acting. The only times I've seen in called though is in double minor penalties. Player A will get a 2 minute penalty for tripping and Player B will get a 2 minute penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct for "embellishing". I have no problems w/ the NBA doing something similar - i.e. double foul after an egregious flop. Not saying I would do it in this case, and you can't tell that Nash is flopping. Just knowing the type of player he is (no guts), you shoudl expect it.

Complete acting job. He pumped into the barrier and then fell to the ground and only then did his arms and legs go flailing. Then he stayed on teh ground for an extra second for dramatic effect before somehow pouncing up. :slappy: Oh, for the days of Isiah and Dumars and MJ...
You are such a fag....acting job my ass. Horry has like 6 inches and 40 lbs on the guy. I don't think there is much time to "act" like you got fouled when you get shouldered into the scorer's table.

Horry's cheapshot and nash's acting are not mutually exclusive, imo. Watch Nash's arms as he lands. He lands on his left arm (ground), right arm (table) with his momentum going right into the table. Then suddenly both his arms flop backwards.

Amare and Diaw won't be suspended.... but they should be. The NBA has serious credibility problems when it comes to policing itself. They tend to do what they believe is best in the short-term... i.e. ratings. But they ignore the long-term consequences of failing to apply a well-thought-out rule.

If they wanted exceptions to the rule, they should have put them in the rule. If the NBA fails to suspend these guys, they are basically saying that the league has zero integrity.

Did anyone see Jalen Rose on ESPN this morning? Apparently, Tim Duncan came on the court from off the bench after a second quarter(I think that was the quarter) dunk by Francisco Elson where he got tied up on a Suns player. I hope the NBA watched in case they actually decide to suspend Amare, so they can suspend Duncan as well.

Well Amare and Diaw got 1 game and Horry got 2 games...

I don't like the deicsion...

:slappy:

The Suns deserve it. Amare in particularly. what a chump.

Maybe if Nash didn't sell it so well like the pussy he is, Amare woudln't have been so concerned and jumped to his defense. Gee, Nash, maybe you'll like to show some balls for a change unlike your "pal" Dirk??
