2007 NBA Finals - Cavs v Spurs

Hopefully the cavs can step it up at home and salvage the series. Being down 0-2 it still is hope. Down 0-2 to the pistons and won 4 in a row, so it's possible.
I too hope that the Cavs can come back again. Playing at home can make such a big difference.

SA is a great team - there is no doubt about that, but I think there will be a little bit of a reality check in the next game for SA in Cleveland. They tend to play GREAT basketball and follow that up with messy performances. They did this against Utah (this year) and the Pistons 2 years ago early in the series. People tend to jump on band wagons prematurely sometimes (I am often guilty of this as well). I think I am trying to rationalize how my team can win a game ... LOL.

Is it just me or does it seem like Cleveland is giving games to them; easy shots in the paint, under the basket (T. Parker), and open looks from 3 point land (B. Bowen, Ginobuli)

Exhog is right, Hughes is killing us. Brutus1 is expanding on some thoughts I had earlier and I totally agree. Those guys are paid to hit those shots and make Lebron better. The only one who plays hard for Lebron, on both sides of the ball, is Gibson. He has been Dwayne Wade like with his shooting and the way he takes it to the basket and draws the faul. Not to mention his relentless defense. We need someone else besides Lebron to get into the paint.

Not saying it's over, but the only 3 teams in the west that I think can beat the Cavs in a 7 game series are the Spurs, Mavs, and Suns. Hopefully the Cavs will have a better showing in the Q. I've heard this so much over the past 12 hours that I'm about ready to puke, but the Cavs got blown out by the Pistons the first 2 games last year and then took the next 3. I don't think the Pistons are as good as Parker, Duncan, Ginobili (sp), and 2 stiffs, but I'm not throwing in the towel yet. Any chance we can get someone to take a tire iron to Parker's knee before the next game?

I really think we can hang if we'd just lay-off the double teams...they're absolutely killing us offensively...theres no way anyone should ever leave Parker or Ginobli and it happens everytime we try and double the post....again, let Tim get his, keep him around 50-55% fg percentage, and try and lock down Manu and Tony.......plus, even Bruce Bowen and Horry will hurt us if we don't even get a hand in their face

I'd even go so far as allowing Scott Pollard play several minutes here and there and just hack Duncan if he gets to close to the basket....we just cannot sacrifice easy baskets in the name of doubling down on Timmy

including lebron...

Personally, I think Lebron has become somewhat "lazy" (on the offensie end) since he decided to become more of a shooting threat. However, like I said before there is only so much he can do with double and triple teams when nobody else can make a shot or create offense.

His mechanics are HORRIBLE in my opinion. Fade away and to the left 3 pointers??!! Brown's coaching obviously holds him back and doesn't play to his strengths. Lebron is regressing offensively because of this fact.

Lebron needs to acquire a high dollar shooting coach, much like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickleson have a swing coach. He is establishing some really poor shooting habits.

As much as I would like to see an Ohio team win I would be surprised if it were to happen. Oh I will be rooting for them until I see it is hopeless but from what I see now.. And please don't think I am trying to rain on anyone's parade. I am trying to be realistic.
Parker will win the MVP
The Spurs have more consistantly good players
The Spurs have a better coach
Duncan will be his dominating self.
James just doesn't have the supporting cast.

.
I don't think I would ever use that word when defining Lebron's game on either side of the ball. Maybe he has
Forced
some shots but "lazy" I don't think so.

I put it in "quotes" for a reason - it's a figure of speech not to be taken literally. I will elaborate on the meaning. He is not working as hard as he used to in terms of getting the ball in the paint and to the hoop. He is constantly living on a previous perimeter shot made. Here is a synonym of lazy - idle: operating without transmitting power, inactive etc. etc.

Saying that he has forced some shots is an understatement. To me, him forcing a shot is rediculous since his strength is POWER. It takes a lot more energy taking the ball to the hoop than settling for a stagnant fade away 20 plus footer. If I am a coach playing Lebron I want him to shoot 20 plus footers. In 05' he was a better shooter after working on his shooting during the summer. I believe Brown's coaching is hindering his game as well as others on the team. The only offensive rhythm is when Boobie is being aggressive or Gooden is catching and shooting on the baseline.

Look, I like Lebron a lot. I simply do not understand the direction he is being taken, in the long term, as far as coaching (see Kevin Garnet). I have never approved of Brown from day one. So yes, I am a Brown hater.

I'll work on that since I will be at the game tonight :banger:

Just got the call from the wife. Her company raffled off tickets and she won 2 tickets! So I will be in the company loge right behind the Cavaliers bench.

So if you see a guy run onto the court with a tire iron chasing down Parker you know who it is :p

No offense, but you better sneak up on him or else you'll never catch him. You might want to dress up like the bimbo he's going to marry to catch him off guard.
