Great season ladies! I never really paid much attention to the softball team before this year. I met Erica Beach on St. Patricks day. She seemed to be very excited about the potential of this team, and was really looking forward to the rest of the season. Nice to see that the Buckeyes were able to have such a good season for her first year as an assistant.

OSU softball ends season with loss to Cal State Fullerton

COLUMBUS ? Cal State Fullerton scored six runs in the top of the first inning and the Ohio State softball team, which led the Big Ten in fielding, committed four errors to see their season come to an end with a 10-3 loss in an NCAA Softball Regional final game.
Ohio State was 21-0 at home this season entering play Sunday and the Titans (38-21) had to beat the Buckeyes twice to advance, and they did just that to extend their season into next weekend.
A win would have given Ohio State (40-18) its first Super Regional appearance.

So much for home-field advantage. Ohio State, which was 21-0 at home, needed one more win at Buckeye Field to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals for the first time in school history.

Congratulations to all the ladies for a superlative season and tournament(s).
I look forward to next year and watching another great team.

You've got to hand it to Cal State Fullerton. The Bucks were undefeated at home and had beaten CSUF 3 times in a row. To come back and win 2 was quite an accomplishment for them. My hat's off.

Great season for the Lady Buckeyes. Good times lay ahead.

Now, come on, tailgator_gal, give it up for the hubby...

Damn, too bad about the softball team. They had a great season. Good luck to them next year.

Side note: I was watching LSU vs. Stanford yesterday, and I have to say that I really hope LSU gets their butt kicked by Arizona State. Some of those girls looked like Tammy Faye in all of their makeup. Who wears makeup when playing sports? And then they were doing this stupid leg kick thing after every out when playing defense. Just play the game and look professional! End of rant.
