To me, barring any injuries, that looks pretty accurate. I fully expect Marcus Freeman to start at LB next year. I remember most people saying he is the best linebacker in the country that was not starting(that was before he was injured) and that he would have started anywhere else but here since we had all that talent. He came in highly touted and has seen the field. I think he will be up to game speed and signifcantly help out this young defense.

Good job and we certainly appreciate the time that you put into it.

Some of my observations/opinions:
1). Lawrence Wilson will be a huge factor on the D-Line. This is the kid that the coaches liked the best out of all the young Dlinemen this season, which was translated into the amount of playing time he received. He could emerge as really a star on the Dline.

2). Albert Dukes will leap over Hall as the #3. Hall makes an excellent #4 but I think Dukes has better speed and more athleticism.

3). Four of the starters on the OL are set: Downing, Datish, Barton, Boone. The fifth one will likely come down to whom the coaches like better out of Cordle, Mitchum, Person or Skinner, and possibly but unlikely Connor.

4). The linebackers better make some serious noise in off season conditioning and in the spring. If they do, the Buckeye nation will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.

5). There are depth everywhere especially, as OSU_fan14 pointed out, at the RB position. The area where we really need some depth is the defensive secondary. Jenkins need to emerge as a leader and I think that's who the coaches are counting on and Amos need to live up to expectations. O'Neil should be fine and so should Mitchell/Lyons/Patterson.

I think Brandon Smith looked better at TE than did Frost (not saying that Frost did bad). I also agree with Tresselbeliever that Dukes will be our #3 WR...Hall will be used more as a flex TE.

Although Rehring might be our 5th best lineman, some have questioned whether at his height he can play guard. Being the 3rd tackle is no small task as the Buckeyes sometimes rotate players, and you never know when someone will get injured.

Dave (Defiance, OH): Chris Wells was impressive last Saturday. The Bucks have lost the entire LB and DB corp, any recruits on their list that can come in and start right away at those positions?

Tom Luginbill: (2:23 PM ET ) DE Robert Rose is a potential difference maker and could competet right away. Kurt Coleman could end up playing safety and corner and has great size.

Tom Luginbill: (2:58 PM ET ) He's not the 46th RB prospect, he's 46th overall. There are other players at other positions that are very good too. He is ranked number 8 overall out of the running backs and he is a very good player. In fact we think he could be an impact player, but he does not have the big play ability and make you miss qualities of other backs in this class. Wells is a power back much like Cordera Eason from MS.

-I think Hall needs to get more PT and should be the #2 or 3 WR, but not in the slot. Small quick WR's are better in the slot. He is the only WR who can go up and out physical DB's for balls. Dukes has route running problems and would be better getting his feet wet as the 4th WR.
-Richardson will probably start at DE. He has started in the past and is in his 5th year. With the lack of experience on the D the guys with experience will be at a premium. Many of the younger guys will get PT during every game, but JT will rely on guys like Pitcock, Patterson, Richardson, and Penton because if their experience (Penton won't start, but see time at DT).
-Animal Jr, D'Andrea, and Feeman will be the starting LB's. Hoobler and Kerr will be the primary backups.
-Jenkins will be better than Everett was this year.
-Pitcock, Patterson, Richardson, D'Andrea, and Mitchell basically have at least a year of starting experience. Freeman, Animal Jr, Kerr, Penton, and Jenkins have experience equivalent to starting if any of them haven't actually started a game.
-Nicol will most likely start at TE with Frost and Smith backing up.
-if Rehring doesn't start at LG he will rotate with both tackles.
-Rehring, Mitchum, Skinner, or Cordle need to step it up this spring. Hopefully more than 1 of them.

Tom obviously hasn't done his homework? No big play ability? Are you kidding me? Wells is a power back, who also happens to have the break away talent of a speed back. If there were no age limit on the NFL...wells might be one of those special guys that could make the jump from HS to the NFL. #8 overall running back...hahahaha.
