2006-2007 season college basketball thread

Well UK took UF's big knockout punch and then Noah and Horford went to the bench with fouls and I think the game is a 9 pt game at half...

I think UK is going to stay in this one the rest of the way...

UF is playing at a very high level, but they are beatable...Much like UCONN last year, and all the highly rated teams going into the tourney b4 them...

I think that we would give UF a much better game the second time around if we got to play them again. Our team is totally different from that game and we won't be playing on their home floor...

Some bs calls, IMO, against Florida gave the momentum to UK and took UF out of their rythm. I still think Florida will win by double digits.

UF is different than UCONN last year or any other highly rated teams though because of who they return from their NC squad of last year. This is no ordinary team. I do agree that we'd play them much better and I think we could beat them.

i consider myself to be a peace-loving guy. i want the best for most of my fellow man. though i understand that all of us do some bad and some of us do all bad, i think that most people are genuinely good.

that said, i want to beat joakim noah in the face until my fists are pulp.

I agree about the calls, but overall it has been a pretty well officiated game and you can always expect a couple calls at home, but Florida has got some cheap calls as well...

UK is hanging tough only down 4...

I agree, but sometimes that hurts your team moreso than it helps as they might become complacent in the tourney...

Shows what I know. Though you gotta' admit I was looking like a prophet when Florida went up 30-14 in the first half.

Well that is the beauty of college basketball and no game is ever over...

On a side note the only team to really play well in the top 6 today was UNC...

UF struggled at UK, UCLA lost, we struggled with Purdue, UNC drilled Wake, Wiksy struggled with Iowa, and Pitt struggled with Providence...

while true, wake was by far the suckiest of all of the teams' opponents.

conference play for all but ucla. they had to travel 3k for the game not an excuse but a tough test in doing so. morgantown isnt an easy place to play and the whole trip thing is rough, but will be good for ucla down the stretch for tourney time and preparing with all that stuff.

the others are conference play and second time around games. they had those teams scouted so well that the dogs knew which hand the swing man reaches for the toliet paper with...

1. If I were voting, UCLA would not drop in the rankings. No Collison plus long trip to Morgantown = ridiculous trap game.
2. Much as I wanted to see the Gaytors take it on the chin in Lexington, I had to admit that I have never seen a hoop team get homered like they did. Noah and Horford got mugged down low.
