Well, if Hawk wasn't so head-and-shoulders above every other LB, then you'd have a point. Go back and look at the season stats...Hawk dominated POSlosersky. It's a media/PSU dick-suck fest, plain and simple. If POSlosersky had the same stats but PSU was 7-4 or 8-3, he wouldn't get shit for votes. Hawk dominated in the Texas game more than POS did in our game.

there's a difference between bitching over somebody calling ohio state cheaters on the 13th page of a local rag, and AJ Hawk getting ripped off for an award he definately deserves.

True on the Texas comparison, but if tOSU beats PSU, Hawk wins hands down. The kid is the heart of their defense and they are a hot program right now. I agree it is a lovefest, but he has a solid argument with his performance this season imo.

Yea I noticed that.


When they were in the crowd talking to him he was yelling and yelling. Chris Fowler was trying to take the mic away from him to end the interview and he grabs it back and just starts yelling. Whenever they said USC he would yell "GO TROJANS". Or when Young won that award he stood there and yelled "GO LONGHORNS". And whenever some guy other guy won an award he would yell their nickname. I was waiting for him to start yelling "Boomer Sooner" and sing their fight song or something.

EDIT:My apologies, I didn't know Bud was dead.

I'd take Hawk everyday of the week and twice on Saturday, but Poslunsky did have more tackles than A.J. That's not the only state involved, but Poslunsky was deserving (maybe not more than A.J.) but in the end...it's just and award people. We're playing ND in less than a month. Focus on that. Thump has a point also. If we beat PSU, then no way does Poslunsky win the award over A.J.

This post is made with the disclaimer that I never bitch on here, so it's lends legitimacy to what I'm about to argue.

A.J. Hawk was consistently held during the Penn State game, badly. Those referees can suck it. That game is not a fair comparison to use for head-to-head purposes. It was blatantly awful and bad, and those refs should be taken from behind with large cucumbers with rusty nails hanging out the sides.

I ventured over to WeAreSC.com to see if they had a meltdown over Vince Young winning the Maxwell and here's a post I copied.

"Absolute joke. He is a good player, but that is absolute bullshit!! He doesn't deserve to play on the same field as Reggie."

Well, I guess the whole world will see come Jan 4. Bush is a lock for the Heisman IMO so, Heisman vs Maxwell. Should be fun !! Hawk vs Quinn will be equally fun to watch. Still can't get over the Hawk/Quinn's sister thing. That's classic !
