Yeah, I agree, that the Jam-O block in the back was borderline BS. Personally, I know that as a player you are instructed to act as if it was the biggest hit EVER (so Don Hixon at Akron tells me, lol). Originally, I fiugured it was Roy Halls block that screwed the pooch on the Punt for TD. Oh well, it happens and Im sure Jam-O's big brother Teddy and his father Ginn Sr. will be riding on him for the next two weeks. lol, ahhh brotherly love.

I was at the game and was shocked when I saw the replay of Jam O's block in the back...hell, it hardly looked like he touched the guy, though the bigger issue I had with the ref's would be all of the holding that went uncalled

Jenkins looked great, I am excited to see this kid develop, he's going to be special

Boone played a bit and he looked good

Mo Wells will be a good one once he gets some more seasoning and strength

The worst part was i saw 3 blocks in the back on 3 fair catches, if they were returned it would of been called easy. We need to do something a little better if we want to get TG some return TD's

One freshman that I havent seen mentioned yet, who looked to have done a solid job at TE was Brandon Smith. It looked like he was able to block fairly effectively, when he was in there. Plus he had 0 penalties which is always a plus when you are getting a contribution from one of the young Bucks!

Well the pups are really helping this team out.

I couldnt believe it when I saw Wilson in. He did a good job.

Wells has looked good.

Jenkins is a future AA.

Robiske has had a nice catch or two.

Laurinitis on ko coverage has been good.

JamO and Boone have been seeing some good pt.

I think overall this class is going to be a real good one.

That is 6 guys right there that are already contributing this year and probably one or two more by seasons end.

And lets not forget the guys that are redshirting that are getting scout team player of the week every week.

Guys like Russell, Robbie, Hartline, Cordle(could be playing if not hurt)

The recruiting that Tressell is doing is really something special.

What the hell is up with Dukes? We all heard about how he was one of the best recievers on the team, and how he was going to have a big year and how hes been tearing it up in practice, and now it looks like hes disappeared.

Young Bucks who get onto the field

I would love to see us keep track of the younger Bucks who get into the action each week. We know we are going to have some huge shoes to fill next year, but I am not seeing the younger guys get experience. That deficiency killed us last year after we lost the super 14. The TV announcers don't help either, and it is damn tough to sort out who is in as the camera is focusing on everything except the teams.

Malcom Jenkins (CB), Laurinaitis (LB), Jamario O'Neal (S, ST), Maurice Wells (RB), Brian Robiskie (WR), Alex Boone (OL), and Wilson (DL) (IIRC, Lawrence, the guy from Akron St Vincent-St Mary I'm bad with names) all come to mind...I think a lot of young guys have gotten a shot. Especially since Pittman, Ginn, Gonzo, Underwood, Gholston, Mitchum, Rehring, Barton, Frost and a whole bunch of other guys are Sophomores/RS Sophs and get a lot of PT

We've had at least seven true freshmen play (nor sure if Russell, Spitler, Hartline, or Worthington have stepped on the field). We had 18 signees last year. One (Lenix) did qualfy, and at least one (Cordle) was hurt before the season started. So, we've had at least 7 of 16 available true freshmen play (or some reason I think I remember Russell, Spitler, Hartline, and Worthington playing a few downs, too). Keep in mind we're not losing 14 starters next year, so we'll be fine.

(EDIT) Just looked through the game summaries of our blowouts and didn't see Russell, Spitler, Hartline, or Worthington as playing.
