but other than that I don't recall seeing D'Andrea or Carpenter much other than in mop-up.
Bobby had the first tackle of the season. Downed the kickoff return man for TT inside the 10. He started the magical run

As for no other LBs getting PT, I personally think that the coaches realize how special the guys they have in there are and want to squeeze every last second out of it. As a dihard fan, I appreciate this very much. Does it help for next year? No, but that's fine by me for now.

I beleive that Donte Whitner will be an all america candidate next year.

I agree. I think Donte will be a huge playmaker next year. He will have the spotlight of tOSU defense. He's been overshawdowed this year because of the linebackers. But next year he will have all the glory. I think he's proven, and I think he can only get better. I can see him being a top 15-20 pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.

I haven't seen a Hawk, or a Diggs, or a Katzenmoyer behind the starters (even if it was just one guy) who'll be ready to step in and star next season.

Maybe you've seen a Freeman? Or a Hoobler? Maybe a Laurinitis? Right there are 3 guys we've seen at the various LB positions who will be fighting for starting spots next year.

But I think a big point that's being missed here is that Tressel does not play this season with next season in mind (with the occasional exception of maintaining a RS late in the year). If the opportunity to get some youngsters on the field presents itself, they will play, but clearly JT has not forced the issue this year.
