Its amazing how Dials couldnt even breathe without getting called, but that Bruenner could have been called for 7 charges alone.

The refs didnt cost us the game, but they freaking put us in a shitty position with Dials playing so rarely. He also couldnt play tough defense or it was a foul.

Bruenner mustve sucked off the officials before the game, because he couldve started playing defense with knifes and they wouldnt have called him for it.

This team played well above their heads all year, and looked great when the 3's were falling.

Breuner got away with out 25 charges. In fact I think he woulda set a record for fouls if they could keep calling them. The block by that other big jackass of theirs on Dials, where he clubbed him in the back of the head, almost knocking him out. The "tie-up" with Breuner and Syl was a foul on Breuner, because he had ahold of Syl, not the ball. The last call there on Sullinger was horseshit, he did nothing. I could go on. Whether we lost the game by 2, 7, or 37, that officiating was probably the worse I have seen, in any sport.

Jim Nantz kind of confused me on this after the game. There was once or twice where I could have sworn he said Iowa was the Big 10 champions. They are the tournament champions but the Buckeyes are conference champions.

Still wish the Bucks could have won both. Oh well, on to the dance.

Congrats Iowa.

This shows us our main deficiency (as if we didn't know already) when the 3's don't fall, we're in trouble.

It has been a great season so far, very thrilling in every way. There's no way during that first game of the year that I thought we would end up 25-5, pre-tourney.

Thanks Seniors for the thrill ride and let's make a run in the dance!

The way I see it, since I'm a biased fan, I'm probably going to always think that the calls are going against us. Therefore, I try not to focus too much on the refs. Do I think that Brunner got away with lowering his shoulder multiple times w/o getting called for a foul? Yep, but again, I'm admittedly biased, so I'm not blaming the refs for today's loss. IMO we got cold at the end of the game and they stepped up at the end of the game. It's just unfortunate timing, as we had the lead and pretty much controlled the game for over 35 minutes today. But when you only score 4 points in the last 9 minutes, you won't win too many games. I just hope we get our shooting woes figured out before the end of next week. For some reason, we haven't shot the ball really well in a long time.

If it's any consolation, Ron Lewis gave Eddie Hightower a swift kick to the nuts for his effort. I was laughing my ass off when the crowd was chanting EDD-IE EDD-IE when he was on the floor sucking wind.

The crowd also gave a stellar performance of boos and whistles when Bruner was doing his thing and getting away with it, and Dials wasn't doing his thing and still not getting away with it.

Wow, talk about an upsetting typo.. 8 not 18. The point is, look at the preseason thread, we should be happy as hard as that is for the nextfew minutes until we see where we are at in the NCAA tourny :)

Edit: It seems as if even my non-typo is wroong. and it was 7 not 8.... :(

I realize... Its just the guy cant be a complete incompetent to not be a warm sizable body? Make baldy's life a little rough down under. If he gets in foul trouble, whoopy. I just wish there was a way he could contribute more.
