Hey guys,

I know how y’all are feeling right about now, but I had to check back in to congratulate you on a great season and to say that was one helluva game. I bet the ratings were sky-high.

What an emotional rollercoaster on both sides. I really thought OSU had Clemson’s number early, and I almost threw in the towel several times. A few observations:

-Both your lines basically destroyed us all game. If you keep bringing in those big boys, y’all are going to be stout for years to come.

-Dobbins is a beast. Fields will only continue getting better with this experience.

-The Fiesta Bowl needs to fix their turf. What kind of pathetic excuse was that for a field? All the guys were slipping everywhere. It really slowed down the speed that both teams had for the most part. I’m really not sure who that benefited; but I know if Dobbins could have cut a few times where he slipped, he may have had near 300 yards (for real).

-Have you ever seen that many injuries to key players in a game of this importance? That was nuts. I’m thinking a lot of that had to do with the turf.

-Going into the game, I said the only way Clemson would win is if Lawrence runs the ball more than usual. He had over 100 on the ground. That last Clemson TD was due to the backers biting on the fake run.

-Both teams got beat up, bad. That was quite a physical game. There are 2 weeks until the Championship game, but I’d have to imagine LSU will be way healthier going into it.

Nobody is going to give Clemson a chance in the next game. We’ll see what happens.

See you in the playoffs next year. Your team will be hungry as hell.
Gutsy performance by your team. Don't be a stranger in the future

More good news! I’m full of silver linings when I drink!

I may or may not have offered my kingdom in exchange for an offensive holding call and/or a turnover. Since they got neither when I made my offer, I get to keep my kingdom!

On the flip side.....my kingdom kinda sucks......

Burned badly by 4 replays, with a 25 pt swing. That Wilson replay cost them a Dobbins TD.

Good point. It also showed Clemson our first designed run play of the game. Double whammy.

It wasn't that hard of a call on the field. They certainly didn't need to wait until we were running our next play to review it.

Well, not really sure what to say here. Our guys left it all on the field and really, you can't ask for more than the effort we got from our boys tonight. And the coaches overall brought a great game plan. I just want to say that up front because I want everyone to know the rest of the things I have to say are not aimed at our players or coaches.

The refs...I know we had the chance to win and didn't. That being said, that is the shittiest fucking job bag I have ever seen. The fumble returned by Fuller that was CLEARLY A FUCKING FUMBLE, gets called back and that was crushing. It takes indisputable evidence and the call on the field stands...but beyond that, IT WAS CLEARLY A FUCKING FUMBLE. That play right there seriously has me questioning these bullshit SEC refs. We earned that and taking it away was demoralizing. Then the targeting...I think the call was debatable but if Lawrence doesn't fake the injury (and yes he fucking faked it...he ran in a play later like it never happened), then it never gets called. Although I was furious at the time, it was probably a "targeting" under the current rules...CHANGE THE GODDAMN RULES. Players have accidental contact because a player like Lawrence ducks and suddenly make helmet to helmet contact (and subsequently FAKES an injury to get the call)...and you fucking throw them out of the game? This shit has to end, its ruining the game. Either way, those are two TDs right there and not speculatively, definitively. The refs absolutely fucked us sideways at critical moments. Major credit to this team to constantly overcome getting raped by an SEC officiating crew all game.

BUT...god we missed so many crucial opportunities. JK left his heart out there, but there were 2 TD catches he should have had on the board (the first one is more debatable, Fields didn't help him on the first). That dropped ball on the screen might have been the "one that got away", although you could point to many others...just saying that to me, that was the TD that was money in the bank. We had stupid penalties...the roughing the kicker really irks me because we just needed to get the ball back there and there was no reason to rush the punter...another pivotal turning point that WE caused.

Then JK...he has serious NFL prospects on the line, and just fights and fights and fights...I mean, he was injured. But keeps coming back in against all odds. He will go down in my mind as an Ohio State legend that I will never forget, damn did he fight hard. Same with Fields, kid took shots all game and just played his heart out. Ditto Okudah. Fuller. You get the idea...our team played so hard tonight and I am so damn proud of them for that effort.

To end this post though...damn is this just demoralizing. It just is. This OSU team was the most talented team we have ever had. And we are not in the championship game. We cannot beat Clemson despite that and you seriously have to wonder if we ever will. If there was any year, it was this year. As proud as I am of our team and the effort, I just really do not know what to make of this year to be honest.

All I know is that Clemson can put a mother fucking asterisk on this one.

I have no excuses for this one. The first 10 minutes of the game showed we were the better team, but time and time again shot ourselves in the foot. Fuck the "bad calls" by the refs. Clemson won the game because they wanted to win. Ohio State lost because they expected to win.
