If I were voting, Morrison might not make top 5.

Redick
Randy Foye (Nova)
Marco Killingsworth
Rodney Carney (Memphis)

All the above I would rank above Morrison. I might even vote for Daniel Horton ahead of The Great Mophead Hope. Horton is having a great year.

And yes, my voting pattern is a backlash, because Morrison, while very good, is nowhere near what he is hyped. Comparisons to Larry Bird? Please.

Anyone else think McRoberts was tired of hearing Hansbrough is the best freshman in the ACC? :)
He'll win the FOY, but I think Josh made a statement about how good he can be when he is featured...
I gotta call this statement out. Hansbrough is far and away a better player than McRoberts.

You can't just compare stats when making that statement... Hansbrough is option #1 on offense for Carolina. McRoberts is at best the #3 option for Duke, and sometimes no better than #5. You can't just look at the stats and say who is better. McRoberts is asked to be a role player this year. Just wait until next year when he is offensive option #1, then we can make a comparison.
My point by my earlier comment was that Josh showed up to play. Going in, lots of people were talking about Hansbrough completely showing up McRoberts and McRoberts being a bust. He played with more intensity last night, no doubt due to some of the banter in the media. Josh arguably outplayed Tyler last night in 12 less minutes of play.

Randy Foye is the player of the year. Morrison isn't in my top 5. I'm tired of hearing about J.J. Redick. The guy can be guarded.

Honestly, I'm not intimidated by Duke at all. Je'Kel Foster could shut Redick down just like he shut down Maurice Ager. Our perimeter speed would give Paulus fits. They would out-rebound OSU for sure, but if we hit our threes, we could take this team down.

... That's why EVERYBODY has shut down JJ this year, huh? The only guys that give JJ trouble defensively are the bigger, long-armed guys. Even then, he still gets his points.
You're welcome to feel that way about tOSU beating Duke, but don't make blind blanket statements.

You missed a heck of a game last night

because I was more than impressed with Hansbrough, where as nobody on Dook stood out except reddick. You just said you can't compare stats, and I wasn't. I'm talking strictly about basketball talent, and Hansbrough has "it". McRoberts benefits from reddick and tiny ears.

My point about stats was overall on the season, not head to head.
McRoberts doesn't have to be the main guy, so no, he won't stand out as much as Hansbrough. Wait until next year, then we will all see what McRoberts is capable of. For only playing 21 mins. last night, I thought Josh definitely stood out. 17 points in 21 minutes and he played pretty tough defense on Hansbrough as well. Hansbrough was 4-12 and only scored 12 points in 33 minutes of play.

Doesn't McRoberts play out of position because of Sheldon Williams? I thought heard Dicky V. mention this during one Duke game in between his rants about how great J.J. Redick is. :)
