Ah what a trip. Have I mentioned I hate Penn State fans? Here are a few examples of Penn State stupidity:
- The dipshit lady behind me finds it annoying when a few of the Block O members hold up their arms during a free throw and chant "OH *clap* *clap* IO *clap* *clap*" on a made one. It isn't annoying, however to yell "WE ARE, PENN STATE" or to do that stupid 'bounce'. Who wouldve thought?
- My favorite shirt on a stater: An old lady wearing a sweatshirt that read "We're Back". How fucking pathetic is that? In other words, you sucked for 5 years and finally had 1 good season?
- My second favorite shirt on a stater: The score of this years Ohio State game. Seriously, this has nothing to do with the fact that they beat my favorite football team. Who the fuck prints up a shirt (Officially liscensed by the university....it wasn't just some schmoe and a printing press) for a regular season game? How pathetic is it that they live or die by the Ohio State University? Talk about insecure.
- Favorite moment: 56 seconds left, Sylvester shooting 1 and 1, a chant of "OVER-RATED" arises from the idiots behind me. OSU was up 10. I still haven't figured that one out yet.
- A group of 3 male adults sitting in front of me couldn't figure out if it was 6, 7, or 8 fouls that sent the team to the foul line for 1 and 1. These weren't dads who decided to take their kids to a game.......they were there on their own. If you are going to a game at that age and you are male....I would hope you know the simple rules of basketball.
They also didn't know what a 5 second violation was.....but I won't hold that against them.
Those were the highlights of stupidity. Every time I go to that place I leave wondering why I went. Just one time I would like to watch them get their asses completely handed to them at their house in any sport.
In summary, Fuck Penn State. I really do hate them more than anything in life. I can't even walk around that place without getting overwhelmed with hatred.

Good analysis, Dow.
One other thing I liked: watching OSU in the second half attack the Penn State zone defenses with excellent passing. You can always pass the ball quicker than the defense can shift and create good, open shots.
We can all remember times in the recent past when zone defenses gave our team fits.
I also am becoming a real Butler fan. He provides excellent perimeter defense, distributes the ball, can create off the dribble and can shot.
Let's think back two our two good point guards in the last 15 years: Baker and Penn. Butler is moving into that category.

I didnt hear the chants on tv, b/c I couldnt stand the announcers at times, so I had the mute on. I was just wondering if anyone knows where Cornley is from after watching that game today. I swear they told us at least 40 times he was from columbus, like trying to rub it in our faces that we didnt recruit him or something.
I also hate PSU, they just suck at life. They havent done shit in the big ten and they have one good season, and they think they are gods greatest gift to the big ten. Much like Iowa last season.

...per Dave "Dipshit" Biddle. Once again - complete out of the fucking loop. He's about as well informed as the inside of a monkey's asshole.
First of all, he had 12 - not 14. Second, he didn't 'lose' his spot. I said it before, I'll say it again. If Sylvester's back is agreeable a week from now, he starts against Iowa. No question.
As much as I hate the inordinate focus given to next year's team (considering how well this one is playing), it honestly frightens me that they're going to be subjected to this degree of idiocy, in terms of the media. Dave Biddle clearly has less fucking access to the truth than I do, and I'm fucking nobody. No press pass. Nothing. I can only hope that he sees this and my previous post about how grossly inaccurate he is in his 'reporting', and decides to expend the tiniest amount of effort to formulate some reasonable pre- and post-game accounts. As it is? He's a fucking joke. You can - and I hope someone does - print that in some truly visible black and white. My only solace comes in the form of the knowledge that nobody that matters gives a flying fuck what this asshat thinks or says.

Cornley is from Brookhaven, the same high school that Ron Lewis played for.

I don't have a problem with the Devlin chant. That's fans interacting with a possible future star and, orchestrated or not, good for them.
However, in the case of that publication. Totally classless. It is a shame when an opponent resorts to this kind of nonsense in order to explain the way they keep losing to us.
Well, here's a little news, PSU. Get used to it. When you come to the 'Shoe next year. We're gonna run over the Poz like he was yesterday's newspaper at the bottom of our kid's hamster cages. Look for a beat down like Iowa got this year and look for it to continue. Joe Pa should have retired while he was ahead.
On the basketball front, we won't receive greater penalties. We will have the Thad Five and we will beat you repeatedly.
In the interim, please feel free to do whatever you wish to make yourselves feel better about your inferiority.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — If the first 20 minutes wasn’t a case of a team being too full of itself, Ohio State was sure full of something.
Matt Sylvester blamed the posh Nittany Lion Inn, where the Buckeyes spent Friday night before playing Penn State.
"They have an unbelievable seafood buffet," the Buckeyes senior said. "I think I gained five pounds. I went to sleep a happy man."
Coach Thad Matta did not go to halftime yesterday a happy man, though, and when the second half began, his fat-and-happy players were chastened and hungry.
The Buckeyes, overplaying the passing lanes, forced the Nittany Lions into three turnovers in the first two minutes, scored off each to increase a five-point lead to 11 and rode the run to a 75-64 victory in the Bryce Jordan Center.
Ron Lewis, who started in place of Sylvester (back spasms), scored 15 points to lead four double-figure scorers for 19 th-ranked Ohio State (14-2, 4-2), which won its second Big Ten road game, as many as it won all of last season. Je’Kel Foster had 13 points and Sylvester and Jamar Butler 12 apiece.
Asked what he said to his players at halftime, Matta paused before saying, "Let me paraphrase here."
"I didn’t think we played very well," he said. "I didn’t think our attention to detail (was good). I didn’t think we were tough. We were very passive in everything we were doing. Offensively, we had no flow, we had no transition. We weren’t very good."
Ohio State led 32-27 at halftime but had made only a third of its shots from the field, had allowed Penn State (10-6, 2-3) to score 14 of its 27 points off offensive rebounds and had forced only five turnovers.
(The Buckeyes scored 38 points off 20 Penn State turnovers in their 104-69 rout of the Lions in Columbus on Jan. 5.)
"At halftime, Coach said we weren’t playing as hard as we normally play," Foster said, "so we tried to come out at the beginning of the second half and let our defense create some offense for us.
"Defense is always going to be there. You can play defense every night. Even if the shots aren’t falling, defense can keep you in the game."
As they did in the teams’ first meeting, the Buckeyes took advantage of overmatched Nittany Lions point guard Ben Luber at the start of the second half. Foster stepped in front of Luber’s cross-court pass on Penn State’s first possession and turned it into a layup. Terence Dials poked away an entry pass on the Lions’ third possession, which led to two free throws by Lewis. Butler flicked away a pass as it left Luber’s hands on the next possession and drove for a layup that increased Ohio State’s lead to 38-27 with 18:17 left.
"There’s no defense for turnovers in the backcourt that lead to easy baskets," Penn State coach Ed DeChellis said. "That was the focus for two days going into the game. We only had 11 (turnovers), but they came in flurries."
Matta felt much the same about how the Buckeyes played defense. After OSU’s initial flurry of steals, Penn State shot 62.5 percent from the field in the second half. Fortunately for the Buckeyes, they shot even better (65 percent), made 14 of 18 free throws and scored on 21 of 31 possessions.
Penn State could not get closer than eight points against that kind of efficiency.
Jamelle Cornley, a freshman from Brookhaven High School, led Penn State with 14 points. Foster’s defense helped limit leading scorer Geary Claxton to 13 points.
"I was nervous coming into this game because our players have been on a stretch that has been incredible," said Matta, referring to games earlier in the week against Michigan State and Wisconsin. "Now hopefully we can regroup. We’ve got guys that are banged up, sick. We need to get healed quickly."
Ohio State doesn’t play again until Saturday night at Iowa. Before the game yesterday, Matta told the players he would give them today and Monday off if they played well.
After the game, he said, "I’m not sold that Monday will be off."

Hey guys can we say the light has came on in a big way for Butler, and I know alot of you guys are going to disagree with me on this one, but it is flickering for Twig.
I think this year he is going to continue to be up and down, but come next year, he will be twice as good as he is this year.
