Southfield DE Lawrence Marshall picks Ohio State over U-M, MSU

Southfield defensive end Lawrence Marshall, a 2014 recruit, committed to Ohio State on Sunday.

Marshall (6-4, 235) also has been offered scholarships by Michigan, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Tennessee, among other schools.

Southfield coach Tim Conley said Marshall is visiting Ohio State this weekend.

"Lawrence took the ACT on Saturday then left to Columbus," Conley said. "He's probably there at the (Ohio State-Indiana) game right now."

Conley said OSU was the most persistent in its recruitment of Marshall. "The other schools didn't recruit Lawrence as hard," he said.

I like it that he says he will take recruiting slow. Since he was one of the very first into the class, that means that his "slow" is "fast". Gotta love that from a WDE. I eagerly anticipate some "slow sacks" in the 'Shoe. I like those.

I would like a second opinion. Please watch the video, and tell me is he remarkably quick or I'm I mistaken? I heard he's a raw player with a high ceiling, but with the guys in front of him he doesn't have to play right away.
