'11 OH ATH Shane Wynn (Indiana Signee)

I love it when a recruit thinks he can sway a staff to offer a teammate...the fact of the matter is that any recruit out there, regardless of his offers, needs OSU a heck of a lot more than OSU needs him...case closed.

The uncommitted will include receiver Shane Wynn of Cleveland Glenville, who is considering OSU and Miami, among several other schools. Wynn said the result of today's game won't dictate his decision, which isn't expected anytime soon.

"May the best team win," Wynn said. "Whichever team loses, I'm not going to put them down my recruiting list just because of that."

His serious interest in Miami and OSU stems from what he sees as a great offense and strong academic programs. He will be in Ohio Stadium today for the enjoyment, and he wasn't admitting to a favorite.

"It should be a good game, not a blowout by either team," Wynn said. "These are two good teams."

Disguising 4.3 Speed << Nothing But Sports

Written by Kile Marquis

For high school senior Shane Wynn, October 22nd, 2010 was a special day. A Friday, so it must be game day right? Yes, but this wasnt just any regular game. For Wynn, along with a handful of other seniors, was the last Homecoming as high school athletes. Shane and the other seniors of Glenville High School celebrated another victory running over John Hay High School 40-0.

Unlike many high school players and teams, there was not a victory dance, or victory speech. No excitement coming from anywhere except the stands. This football team is poised to make another long run into the Ohio State Playoffs, that kickoff in 2 weeks. The focus of the team is a State Title and nothing else will do.

Warren G. Harding @ Glenville Academic Campus - Football - cleveland.com

Unranked Harding (8-3), an eight-time postseason qualifier, never knew what hit it but Shane Wynn had a lot to do with that.

Wynn, a 5-9, 165-pound senior, helped Glenville (11-0) build a 27-6 halftime lead on 68-yard touchdown run off a Harding punt just a little under two minutes into the game.

Marlon Worthington Jr. kicked the first of his three first-half extra points.

"I basically ran back and forth and when I saw the wall, I hit it," said Wynn, who finished with an unofficial 101 yards rushing, 32 yards in receptions and two touchdowns. "I set the tempo and the defense just carried it over."

2011 Offense-Defense All-American Bowl Week

Roster Addition: Shane Wynn (WR)

Shane is pound for pound one of the best players in the nation. He is dynamic every time he touches football. He is a great punt returner as well as a runner after the catch. The long impressive list of college offers speaks volumes of his ability. We are thrilled he will be in our game.
