OSU was in good shape even before the offer...I have him above Harley based on his frame and room to grow. A DL class of Hayes, Miller, Bennett and Williams (if offered...which I think he will be) would be a great start. Add someone like McReynolds and/or Lynch and that is almost unfair...that is a class that would rival Florida 2010 DL haul, although it's tough to compare the two given Florida landed the top 2 DTs and the top DE in the nation...and who knows what any of these kids will amount to until they get on campus and get involved with a college S&C program and begin working on more advanced techniques.

I wouldn't go as far to say that he'd even touch Florida's class. Like you said they got 4 of the top DL in the nation, and 3 of those guys were ranked in the top 10, regardless of position! Slow your roll, even if we got those guys you stated, we wouldn't come close. Not being Debbie Downer, that would be a sick class for us, but Florida's class was like something you see in video games.

I recommend that you are the one who slows their roll.....

UF greatly coveted Mr. Miller, and there are many who feel Hayes is better.

Miller, Hayes & McReynolds would give OSU 3 top-5 DL. I doubt they check in in the top-20 like the UF trio, but I'd say it's about as close as you'll find in this class.

From the USC site...a who's who of the Rivals250 talking about how USC was either the first to call them yesterday morning or the only one...the list includes McReynolds and DeAnthony Arnett who both confirmed USC was the first school to call them yesterday.

Rivals $ - No lack of interest despite no commitment to Ohio State

By Noon...says the visit really opened his eyes to what OSU has to offer...says he loved his visit and hopes to come back to spend more time on campus and around Columbus...talks about the game itself and how he could see himself fitting in as a freshman...likes the tradition as well as the academics.

Interesting situation that could be similar to the Bradley Roby recruitment, in that McReynolds visited this past weekend along side Dominic Clarke's family. Just throwing it out there...

You make a good point, family friends of current players is a very strong positive for us.

For a lot of these guys they want to be comfortable and that familiarity is going to be beneficial to us. Will it be enough, we can only hope.

If we can add he and Bennet, this would likely be the best D line class in the country. In regards to Florida Dline of last year, it's too early to tell. Even if we get the guys we want, they need to play college football before we will ever know which group is the best, but this group could be very special.

But that can also work for a number of other teams too, can't it? I'm sure there are even more players from MD on the U of MD, and UNC and some of the other ACC schools. But it can't hurt having Clarke on our squad either.

You're always going to have a tough time pulling a kid out-of-state away from the in-state school...whether it's Michigan, Florida or Maryland...
