"I have never seen anything like that stadium on that night," Rolle previously reported to Scout.com. "The coaches, the players, the atmosphere, it was all the best I have seen anywhere"
Sounds like the atmosphere was a least a factor in his desision to me.
Direct Quote from Heyward in a scout article 1/31/07.
?Ohio State was just great,? Heyward informed Scout.com of his unofficial visit in late November. ?The atmosphere, campus and academics are awesome. But I think I was impressed with the coaches the most, especially coach (Jim) Tressel.?
Though maybe not the most important reason he committed, sounds like it was important enough to mention 1st in explaining why he came.
mendensa;1592346; said:I think it sucks that we couldn't at least get him on campus for a big game. Atmosphere alone has got to blow scUM's away.
Buckeye737;1596328; said:I agree with Mendensa 100%. Gameday atmosphere is huge. That being said, most of the schools that OSU is competing with for the top of the line recruits are going to have a good atmosphere (PSU, Florida, LSU, and so on).

Definitive proof that game-day atmosphere means nothing to recruits.BuckTwenty;1605023; said:Committed to TSUN today, per his Scout and Rivals profile

You keep trying to spin this thing vs. OSU's environment. A kid can be blown away by more than one game you know. You don't think he enjoyed a game-day or two @ the big house and said "I want to play here"?
One kid going to scUM over OSU proves nothing. You said it yourself that it wasn't fair to use guys that were OSU leans or virtual locks to support my argument and you turn around and do the same thing. He's had UM atop his list since back in February so it's no surprise that he chose Michigan @ the end. Obviously he liked UM better. I'm sure he felt @ home w/ Michigan and saw an opportunity to play early b/c their DB's suck. You can't blame the kid for wanting to play in front of 110,000.
IT ISN'T THE ONLY REASON THEY CHOOSE A SCHOOL, IT'S ONE OF MANY FACTORS IN THE SELECTION PROCESS!!!!!!! (All I keep saying)
You keep saying it means nothing. Quit being so close-minded.

I do laugh every day. I have a great job, a wonderful wife, going to see the Bucks play in Pasadena. Life is good man. Thanks for looking out for me though.
Go Bucks and have a nice Thanksgiving.
LordJeffBuck;1596258; said:No, the biggest single factor is where the kid wanted to go before he even began to be recruited. Most kids know where they want to go from day one ... the rest, who knows? Playing time is a big issue with some of the undecideds, as is location, chance to get to the NFL, head coach, and probably a dozen other things.

- Whether the athlete made an ?official visit? to a specific college
- Whether the school is in a BCS conference
- The distance from the high school athlete?s hometown to a specific school
- Whether the recruit is in the same state as a specific school
- The final AP Ranking of a specific school in the previous year of competition
- The number of conference titles a school has recorded in recent years
- Whether the school is currently under a ?bowl ban? for violating NCAA rules <
- The current number of scholarship reductions a school faces for violating NCAA rules
- The size of the team?s stadium (measured in terms of seating capacity)
- Whether the school has an on-campus stadium
- The current age of the team?s stadium
