When coaching changes happen, sometimes players don't fit certain systems that are installed by the new staff. Sometimes it becomes a matter of personalities not being a match or a coach wants to bring in his own personnel. Brady Hoke is the new sheriff in Ann Arbor and some players aren't fitting the system.

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Penn Hills sophomore cornerback Cullen Christian intended on being a Michigan Wolverine for the duration of his career, but it didn't work out and CONT....

I dunno. Is it like breaking up with your girlfriend? One, you go back thru your little black book, calling up the 'old flames'? Or do you start scouting out new ones?

I'd probably call back the schools that had offered, and have a verifiable story ready on why the relationship ended......and then maybe read the papers (not ESPN) and see who lost people at the postion I played.

But I was never a good enough athlete to have a scholarship anyway, so what do I know?

Third time’s a charm? Former Mich., Pitt DB headed to WVU

As a member of Michigan’s 2010 recruiting class, Christian was a four-star player and rated as the No. 8 cornerback in the country according to Rivals.com. Christian played in 11 games as a true freshman for the Wolverines before announcing in April of 2011 that he would be transferring to his hometown of Pittsburgh and playing for the Panthers.

After sitting out the 2011 season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules, he played in 12 games — two starts — in 2012. Last season, an ankle injury limited Christian to just two games. If at first you don’t succeed, try again. And then, in Cullen Christian‘s world, try again, if necessary.

The defensive back confirmed to both wvillustrated.comand Scout.com earlier this week that he has decided to transfer into the West Virginia football program. Because Christian will have already received his bachelor’s degree and will be pursing a Masters not offered at (one of) his former schools, the cornerback will be eligible to play immediately in 2014.

Was gonna make a wise-a** crack about two more transfers and he could yell 'Bingo', but after reading Script's verbiage, have decided that I'm impressed that he's going to parlay his athleticism into at least one degree, hopefully two. The road is not always straight, has many twists and turns, but will eventually get you where you are going.....great job Christian!
