'10 OH SG Cameron Wright (Pitt Verbal)

Rivers just committed to the Gators (verbal with a scary amount of time to wait:biggrin:). His sister plays for the Lady Gators.

Since you were there, how did he look, if you don't mind?

solid player and deadly from the perimeter(and beyond) works well around screens on defense. he can handle the rock well. he grew since I saw him at Nationals in Michigan last year he's about 6'2 6'3.

Cameron Wright led an Injury plagued King James Shooting Stars squad to Platinum division Championship Game where the lost to the Drew Gooden Soldiers in the LasVegas Mainevent Showcase. Mr.Wright almost posted a triple double in the championship game with 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists with 5 steals. He played great defense throughout the tourney especially in clutch situations. Had three 20+ games out of 6 total games. Displayed a much improved pull up jumper and unstoppable first step to the basket. hit 8 strait free throws to seal the game against the defending champions "Positive Direction" out of N.Y. The best attribute Cameron displayed in Vegas was his leadership and willingness to step up when his team had four KEY players injured down the stretch. He may not be the most talked about OSU recruit but he has the most ALL AROUND VALUE because of the little things coaches and teammates love.

I continue to say that he is a very key recruit...All the services overlook him, because he is not the real flashy, score 40+ pt type recruit, and he isn't a big dunker...But look at the stat sheet after his game and you will be very pleased...

I would be interested in knowing about his ballhandling skills. Are they comparable to Turner and, to a lesser extent, Lighty.

His ball handling and decision making is very good. doesn't commit that many turnovers. He's been playing a lot at the point for King James which caused a lot of match up problems this summer especially at the Nike nationals in Vegas. in six games he only committed two turnovers to about 30+ assists. So he's doing great and he will only get better.

Ohio State Still Wright Choice For Cleveland-Area Star................Interview with Cameron's HS coach. Wright is preparing for the upcoming season and hoping to improve on 18.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.0 steals per game as a Sophmore. Wright struggled shooting the ball during the summer but is working on improving his release. His coach indicates he is 100% solid to tOSU. Will be visiting campus for the OSU-PSU game later this month.

Saw Wright yesterday...

He really looked passive at times yesterday...He kinda imposed his will in the second half at times, and looked good...

He is very fast end to end, and has the athleticism to play here for sure...He is pretty thin tho, so he will need to develop his body...Has a good looking stroke from the outside tho...Really hard to get a great read on him due to the type of game he plays, but you can see the talent is there...

Does a lot of things as well...Defense, offense, assists, etc...Doesn't look like a leader type tho, as his team was struggling and he just kinda stayed in the background...
