'10 OH PF Adreian Payne (Michigan State Verbal, R.I.P.)

Rivals.com$ (Brian Snow)

Payne is taking it all in.....................Payne recently took an unofficial visit to West Virginia. Cincinnati, Dayton, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami-Florida, Ohio State, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wake Forest, and Xavier have been in to visit. Florida has been showing interest. Payne speaks to Jordan Sibert on occasion. Payne has a good relationship with Sean Miller and Xavier. No favorites or list.

From the "football" official/unofficial visits list Payne will be visiting along with Sibert, Wright, and Sullinger from the 2010 class. There are also some guys in the 2011 class that are visiting.

Payne will not be visiting per Brian Snow at Rivals... He is not planning to visit anywhere this weekend, although I'm told there is a slight chance that he shows up for Dayton's Red/Blue scrimmage tomorrow...

Payne is a quiet kid.........possibly bringing him in by himself would be better for tOSU........thoughts?

Very quiet, very hard to read... I think that might be a good idea to get him in for 1-on-1 attention... Sometimes he acts as if he doesn't care a bit about recruiting... He's just a rare one that is probably frustrating a few coaches...

I can understand what you mean with all the football recruits being here also but you would think he would be comfortable with a guy like Sibert or one of the other basketball recruits but maybe on a different day. Also, he might not like football:)

He really isn't very close with any of his AAU teammates... He's friendly with them, but even in the case of Juwan Staten, whom he lives close to, he doesn't really hang out with him outside of basketball... Introvert to a "T"... Sibert and Sullinger are the closest to being considered friends with each other from that team...

This is just my opinion. I think if he is that "quiet" for lack of a better word it does not bode well for Ohio State. I think a kid like that would be looking for a smaller campus and the fact that Staten lives close to him might also help their chances. Saying that, I do believe it is down to Dayton and Ohio State but one never knows.

At one point I was pretty confident for Dayton, but I can't read this kid at all anymore... I'm stumped... Don't rule out WVU though, just a word to the wise...
