Having the Gators out of the picture sure doesn't hurt, though they were probably well behind ND, Cincy, and OSU.His family was on vacation yesterday down in Florida, thus he took an "unofficial visit" to Gainsville, Fla. to check-out UM and the Gators.
However, James no longer has a UF offer. That door closed over a month ago.

Most ND fans were hoping for a commit from James before the end of June or when he last visited campus but that did not happen. With Massa headed off to UC they are definitely a team in play for James.
And Seantrel has shown little interest ND's way.

A late addition on ND's visit list this week is Matt James, a 6-8, 280-pound offensive tackle from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is visiting unofficially.
Matt James still considering four
Four-star offensive tackle Matt James (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) currently maintains a top four of Notre Dame, Ohio State, Cincinnati and Florida, ESPN affiliate Web site IrishSportsDaily.com reports.
He visited South Bend unofficially this weekend for the Irish's win over Michigan State. He said of the experience, "I wanted to see how the offensive line looked under (offensive line) coach Verducci, and you can tell they've really developed."
James would like to make official visits to all four schools before making his decision.
