'10 OH ATH Spencer Ware (LSU signee)

Not sure of Ware's passing stats, but he finished with 12 rushes for 89yds and 2tds. The kid stepped it up in the 2nd half and made some jaw-dropping moves with the ball. He made a 5yd play look like a highlight reel on one play. Commentators kept mentioning how Tressell is looking at him as an Ath because the kid can do some many things with the ball in his hands. Unfortunately the game was pretty one sided on the scoreboard, 42-27 Colerain.

Ware showed very good last night...Colerain is a very good team, ranked top 10 in the nation, but Ware made guys miss all night, and hardly ever let the first guy bring him down, set up his blocks great, and is in and out of his cuts very well...

I see the top player in the state, and top 10 player in the country with Ware...I think he is that good...Would really hate to lose him to UT...

Well, we do have quite a few RB targets already it seems, although I'd REALLY like Ware in the '2010 class.

Other targets: Roderick Smith (IN), Erick Howard (OH), Corey Brown (PA), Mack Brown (GA), Storm Johnson (GA)... off the top of my head, to name a few.

Ware is the best of them IMO...

In terms of us having a lot going against us, I will believe it when I see it when a big time recruit goes to Cincy over tOSU...I am sure it will happen at some point, but I will wait to see it...This is another one of those situations much like Pryor in a way where he realized that he would be in a better situation at tOSU than Michigan, and we would better prepare him for the NFL...Ware is not an NFL QB, but will be an NFL RB...

Still think it is us or UT...

Agreed and UT couldn't have picked a better year to be terrible, with Matt James and Ware looking hard at UT. But I agree, it would hurt bad to lose Ware, as I think he is definetly the #1 guy in the state and likely the #1 RB on our board.

Yeah, obviously it is a long way off, and there could be injuries (knock on wood) or something unforseen, but if everything goes as planned, I see him as being an NFL player, he has that much talent, and there are not many 5'11'' Qb's in the NFL...There are quite a few RB's at that height....
