Dunkley offered by Miami, names new top five
Class of 2010 ESPNU 150 Watch List wide receiver Chris Dunkley was recently extended a scholarship offer by the Hurricanes, affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com reports.

He commented on the receiver depth chart in Coral Cables, Fla., "I've been thinking about it, and by the time I'm there all their receivers will be juniors."

Additionally, Dunkley named the five schools are currently leading for his services, "It's Florida, Florida State, West Virginia, Georgia and Miami."

By C Simmons. Video interview with Dunkley, who names Florida, Georgia and West Virginia as a few of his favorites. He likes Florida's open offense, Georgia's open depth chart, and has friends at WVU.

By M Bakas. Florida, FSU, Miami, West Virginia and Georgia make up Dunkley's top five. He grew up a Gator fan, but is also interested in Miami.

Look for an OSU offer soon...

That's awesome! OSU has opened up an all out attack on the state of Florida. If we can continue to build relationships with the top talent in Florida and the coaches, our chances of winning championships will increase proportionally.

Thanks for the quote Genron, great time to be a Buckeye!!:oh:

Kids say the darndest things...

At one time UF people felt he was a lock to end up there, but now they don't think he will... So it may be pretty wide open here...

Dunkley is the real deal...in the 2:10 mark, his top end speed is obvious when he blows by 2 DB's that had angles. His acceleration is obvious a few play later when he just pulls away after a broken tackle. Good agility and man is he a deep threat...big play threat period if you add in his return ability. My opinion is offer him and if we can get Dunkley and Jones, call it a class for WR's. WAY too talented to pass up if the grades are there.

Ohio State, Alabama latest offers for Chris Dunkley
By Jason Lieser | Thursday, March 12, 2009

Royal Palm Beach wide receiver Chris Dunkley said he might keep his college decision a secret all the way until national signing day next February. If he wants to, he can.

This area is about to produce one of its most talented crops of college talent in years, and Dunkley likely is the No. 2 prospect behind Dwyer?s Matt Elam. Dunkley (5-10, 164) is one of the elite recruits in the state and the country as well.

His latest 40-yard dash time was 4.41 seconds, and he has been clocked as low as 4.37 seconds.

No school is going to be able to pressure him into an early commitment with the threat of giving his scholarship offer to someone else. He?s got all the leverage.

?I might just keep everybody guessing,? Dunkley said. ?It?s not a distraction for me. I just don?t answer the phone when I don?t want to.?

Dunkley already has 30-plus offers and said the latest schools to make formal invitations are Ohio State and Alabama. Other offers include the state?s Big 3, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, West Virginia, Clemson, Boston College and North Carolina.

Awesome news, I love this offer...no reason to wait on this guy. Hopefully he and LJ can come up to the spring game together. It would be awesome for Montana to commit there, just so Dunkley would know he would have a balla' throwing the ball to him after Pryor leaves.

5'10", 164 is about accurate. He might even be smaller. I saw him play a few times last year though. Dunkley is a stud through and through. Top 100 type talent for sure. I have a hard time seeing him leave the Southeast though. Early on the talk from those close to him was that he was a UF lock, now it sounds like Miami and Georgia might be the teams to beat.

Wouldn't be surprised to see TenneCheat in this thing either. For some odd reason they always seem to pull high-profile kids from Florida. Methinks it might have to do with $$$$$$. Just saying.
