'10 FL WR Chris Dunkley (Florida Signee, transfer to USF)

It seems that Dunkley and LJ have the same mindset, to back up their superior talent. I want both of these guys here and BAD. I really think they could push each other to the top in practice, along with the great coaching we have at WR and DB. On top of that, they both want to win and mix that with guys like Brewster, Pryor, etc. and I think that's a formula for success.

Apparently, Chris is also a pretty bright student. Said he had a 24 ACT. Hope we offer soon. Has been in contact with Hazell a lot recently.

He should have an offer already. We expect players to book a flight, a hotel, and transportation for a weekend when they don't even have an offer from us? This "come and show us you want to be a Buckeye" stuff is ridiculous when it comes to big time OOS prospects IMO.

C'mon my friend our coaches aren't doing that. If Chris sits tight and comes to camp he will probably get his offer. IMO we take no more than 2 WR's...maybe one. Remember Jones committed to Stanford. IMO there is an offer being ready to be sent and it is probably going to the next kid on our board...Chris.

I don't believe NCAA rules permit official visits (which include travel reimbursement) in the junior year of high school, which is what the '10 class is at the moment.

Whether a player has an offer or not, if they are having trouble making "travel arrangements" it really doesnt matter one way or the other. Im sure Chris has been in contact with Coach Hazel enough to know where he stands with the staff! :oh:

Comes to camp? Why is he going to come all the way up to Ohio on his own dime, to try to get an offer at camp? He's one of the best receivers in the country and has offers from everyone.

My point is that our staff expects a kid to come up with $500 or whatever a flight and hotel would cost for the weekend, when he doesn't even have an offer from that school. And we expect him to do this in order to prove he's really interested in coming to Ohio St. That's a bad strategy in my opinion.

Are you even reading the replies to your posts?

Yes Im reading them. One person responded by saying if he comes up to summer camp, he'll get an offer (which is irrelevant because he's likely never going to attend OSU summer camp). Somebody stated that we can't pay for his travel arrangements (which had nothing to do with what I said).

My comment had to do with the fact that we may miss out on a top WR recruit because we haven't offered him. I'm taking this info right from one of your BPRT who posted such on another board.
