'10 FL QB Jeffrey Godfrey (UCF Verbal)

rivals lists him as having an offer from tOSU....and being 5-11 167.

I fear this means confidence in landing Nick might be waning. Hopefully a coincidence, but either way, we'll be fine. no big biggie as TGII would say.

Sorry to be pessimistic, but from the first post, it seems like he is a Hurricane if Miami offers. Who are Miami's targets for QB? Where is Godfrey on their list? And is Godfrey still of the opinion that he will go to Miami if offered?

Why would we? Kid is a stud QB. Who cares how tall he is.. this isn't the NFL.. you dont need good height to be a great college QB
Because we passed on a kid who some people thought would commit right away, and then lost that kid to Michigan.....all because we are courting Nick Montana, the supposed pitch being he's our only QB.

If this is a QB offer, one could assume something happened with Montana, which means we let Gardner go to Michigan for nothing.

There are some that say we wouldnt have offered Gardner anyway.

Well, I've heard that Gardner may not have got an offer regardless of Nick Montana and wasn't the next in line of offers at QB.

Anyways, I don't think this means that we're done with Montana, maybe just saying that he better commit soon (spring game? Is Montana going to be there?) if he wants to be our guy.

Then what's the difference between Gardner and Godfrey? Other than one was rumored to be on the verge of committing to OSU and one is pretty much a lock to be a Hurricane if they offer.

The difference is that while one has an OSU offer, the other doesnt, whether DG was going to commit or not.

Well from what I can see by looking at freshman highlights of Godfrey is a much better delivery, faster, better poise in the pocket, more comfortable, and from the looks of it more zip on the ball. I don't evaluate talent for a living though so I could be wrong on any of the above.

wow..throws great on the run too.
