'10 FL QB Jeffrey Godfrey (UCF Verbal)

OSU had no more than 1 guaranteed year (Pryor's junior year) to develop Gardner, which was a major reason he was not offered.

I hear you. We need someone more polished because we didn't take a QB in '09 class that we can be confident handing the team over to in '11 if need be.

If Godfrey is that guy...polished, high upside etc. seems like it will be a dogfight to get him here with his early offer list.....does he have any Ohio Connectionss?

I might have missed the discussion up thread, but has his opinion on playing prospects changed from when he was featured on inside the U in late 2007?

“That’s the position I want to play,” Godfrey said. “I hope God blesses me and let’s me grow a little more to by 6-1 or 6-2 it won’t be an issue. I will do what I gotta do. I can play the position, but I will also play other positions.

I think for Godfrey and tOSU to become a possibility, much more would need to be known about Pryor's intentions (as has already been mentioned in this article). The only other QB I think that Miami is considering down the line is the fine young QB (as I mentioned earlier), Teddy Bridgewater, and he is a 2011 recruiting possibility.

This guy's too good to pass up as a QB. You have to see this guy play in person to appreciate just how fine of a QB he is and his 2008 season was just plain phenomenal.

From the Miami site...says that USF is the team to beat right now..also says that if Miami offers his friend and teammate Joshua Reese then Miami would have a good lead over the rest.

By Larry Weisbaum
Posted Dec 15, 2009

OFFERS: scUM, FSU, USF, Miami, Tenn, OSU (?), Georgia, S. Carolina, Oregon & West Virginia... Only considered schools recruiting him as a QB and he really liked the academic focus at USF...
USF also got an OL Tennessee committ and MNW DT Todd Chandler who was a Miami commit. They should also be followed by a couple other Dade county recruits.
