From the USC site...USC has offered...visiting OSU for the spring game with Jaamal Berry...says he is not focused on recruiting right now and says academics are very important to him. Has offers from Michigan, Tennessee and Ole Miss and is expecting one from Rutgers.

Aha, I was going to wait to put this one up myself since he is from my high school and that of Berry.

He is a transfer from LaSalle, which is a small private school south of downtown Miami (north of Coconut Grove) on the water.

He's a sack monster and his stats speak for themselves, High School Sports - MiamiHerald.com

His play was the key contributor to his team last year doing the outstanding job they did only losing two games to two of the toughest private schools in the state.

He's definitely going to be the biggest defensive player on the south side of Miami and extremely quick for someone his size. I'd expect by the first few games of the year next year (and even after the spring game) he is going to move rapidly up everyone's list. Since I go to Palmetto games, I of course will bring updates to you on this fine man as I did with Jaamal.

On his scout profile there is an interview posted at a 7 on 7 camp where he states that if USC offers him that its "a wrap". He stated that is the offer he wants the most.

Reading the update he seems to have moved off that stance since he's getting alot of attention from other schools as well.

I am not questioning you because i know you're very reputable as they see when it comes to the South Florida recruits but this statement certainly does conflict with your post. I know coaches can change his mind or tell him one thing and when they get on campus do something different but
would prefer to play offense in college.

I would not mind to see an offer go out here. First, USC offered...that speaks for itself. Second, we have no offers out to TE prospects and if he is a DE prospect, that is still just fine. You have to love the measurables.

He is still going to be playing defense next year in addition to offense. He has said that schools are recruiting him as DE, ATH, WR, and TE. I don't think it is set in stone at all where he will play at the next level.
