Why do you think I said that.

You asked if it was posted already or not. He let you know it had....TWICE.

Anyway, I'm interested to see how long the staff is willing to "wait" on a decision from the Montana camp given Gardner.

Either way, it is a fun time to be a Buckeye. Thought it was going to take a bit to start seeing "top" QB's interested in OSU just because we are OSU. Thanks TP....

Hey, Doug: Doug Lesmerises answers your Ohio State questions - Ohio State Buckeyes Football & Basketball News - cleveland.com

According to several reports, quarterback Nick Montana, Joe's son, said he is flying to Columbus for an unofficial visit on Monday and Tuesday before going to check out Texas for two days. He said the Buckeyes told him he is their No. 1 quarterback target in the next recruiting class.

"They told me I was going to be pretty much their guy until I tell them that I'm not interested or unless I tell them otherwise," Montana told BuckeyeSports.com. "Until that, they won't be looking for another quarterback."

Remember those San Francisco 49ers who came in last summer to give the Buckeyes a pep talk -- Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, Roger Craig and ... Joe Montana? Former 49ers owner Ed DeBartolo Jr. is a Tressel friend from Youngstown. So, yes, Joe Montana played at Notre Dame and his Nick's older brother, Nate, walked on as a quarterback for the Fighting Irish. But Jim Tressel is no stranger to the Montana family.

DeBartolo Jr is a Notre Dame Grad ! Gotta wonder if allegiances play a part in Nick's final choice. !

I doubt DeBartolo will have anything to do with Nick's decision...

Let me say this again:

I thought we had mentioned this before but let's just get it out of the way...for those of you worried about the OSU staff making a national QB from California their prime target, understand this: there is more than just "entry-level" mutual interest here. JT and Joe have been in contact for quite some time and 22 also alerted everyone to the connection between Joe and Gene Smith. OSU is a REAL player here...

When I said "REAL player", I capitalized it for a reason...the BPRT has had Nick on the radar since last year because Joe and JT's relationship. Add to that the fact that Nick went from being offered to coming in for an unofficial in such a short span of time. I am already close to penciling Nick into OSU's 2010 class...but I want to hear how this weekend goes first.

I really think weather is played up by fans more than it is players.

If weather was a factor at all why would a player from California or Florida ever leave the state? Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State all pull 5 * players from out west and down south.

EDIT Granted, Ohio State is the only team to actually do any real winning with those players, but they still go there!!

I am sure the fact that Joe Montana grew up in Western PA helps familiarize his sons with weather in the Midwest, even though his entire family has moved to California. I am also sure that skiing in Tahoe helps too! :) But you can make a safe bet that it is a very real factor for recruits that rarely see snowflakes.
