#1 LSU vs #4 Oklahoma, 4 pm ET on Dec. 28 in Atlanta

OU has three things going for them in this game:

1. The disrespect card (which has been powerful in past playoff games);

2. The fact the Grinch's D will be so fucked up and out of position in what it does that it might confuse Burrow for a while and throw off his timing; and

3. The fact that LSU's defense, while seemingly on the upswing, will still likely give up 30 points or more to OU.

All that said, I expect that OU's defense will sell out to pressure Burrow and that Burrow will destroy that first with a bunch of screens to Edwards-Helaire (he'll have massive YAC because OU sucks at tackling), next with timely scrambles, and then, once they've stopped selling out and he has more time, by bombing them over the top. LSU 49, OU 38.

Rumor has it that LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire has an injured hamstring and could be out for the Peach Bowl. If he's out, then LSU's already pedestrian ground game would become virtually non-existent against our stout front seven. I expect LSU to still run some screens very effectively, as OU does have an issue with stopping those.

Also, although OU is not the best tackling team in the country they will still be among the best that LSU has played this year. Plain and simple, if OU dominates on the ground and can keep Joe Burrow and the LSU offense off the field as much as possible then I'd say there's a great chance they will take this one as they finally cruise to their first CFP victory. OU 48, LSU 45.

Well, who cares if they're the best tackling team in the country. The point is they're able to do so... I mean, it's a good thing that tackling is within their skill set, that much is sure.
Who cares if they are or if they're not, right? OU was a dogshit tackling team in '17 and '18 and still made the playoff both times. They almost won one of them in one of the most memorable Rose Bowls ever, but Mikey Stoops had no gameplan for stopping Chubbs and Michel.

OSUs worst tackling team was last year. We had a co-DC who left.. can't remember his name.

Stout front Seven?
Among the Best LSU has faced?

y’all are lcloser to middle of the pack that we’ve faced this year than the top of the heap.

5th best Rush D
4th best Pass D
5th best Total D
6th best Scoring D

By comparison, LSU is absolutely among the best defenses y’all will have faced
Best Rush D
3rd Best Pass D
