But since you seem to be such a fan of total defense, let’s go ahead and talk about those.

OU will be the FIFTH best total defense we’ve faced this year.
we’ve scored 34+ on all but one of those ranked above y’all.

LSU who seriously wants to consider firing their DC is the SECOND best total D y’all have faced, and have yet to reach 29 pts on and D ranked as high as LSU.


Oh, and before you bring up offenses, yeah we out rank y’all in total and scoring offenses too.

and yeah. we’ve met Jalen before and ain’t scared of him and the whopping 10points he’s ever scored against us.

Not that it's any of my business, but Baylor and WVU went in there and held KSU to 32 points - combined - and both won.

Your boys gave up more points there than LSU did at Alabama.

Well congratulations! And against one of those defenses, you scored 23. OU has scored that many points only once since the start of the 2016 season.

Also, the only top 25 offenses you faced which were both Alabama and Texass scored 41 and 38 against you respectively. OU ranks higher than both offenses, and if LSU really wants to turn this game into a shooting match I'd put my money on Coach Riley every time as he is 12-5 in games where both teams score more than 30.

OU would have scored in the 30s on TCU if Jalen hadn't thrown a pick six as he was driving OU to the goal line late in that game. Btw, in each of their last two playoff games OU scored 48 against Georgia's 6th-ranked scoring D and then 34 on Bama's 12th-ranked scoring D. LSU's defense will be the weakest they've faced every year they've been to the playoff.

You only have ONE MORE YARD of total offense than us, yet OU leads the nation in yards per play. And in terms of scoring offense, well big fucking whoop. It's not hard to score that many points against the likes of Georgia Southern and Northwestern State. But considering your weak ground game, I'm not surprised LSU loves to throw the ball even late in games against hapless teams.

The point is LSU is a more talented version of Mike Leach's Texas Tech and Washington State teams. Eventually you'll learn that running the football is a key variant to closing out games late and Lincoln Riley has rejuvenated that philosophy with his style of offense that has evolved from that of his former mentor.

Well Jalen certainly isn't scared of being in the playoff. He's 3-1 as a starter and has taken his game to a whole new level under the tutelage of Coach Riley. (I wish NFL teams would lay off on him already. He's going to be at OU for years to come.)

um we’ve faced 4 teams with top 15 scoring defenses this year.

we’re averaging 37 points in those games.

OU hasn’t played any top 15 scoring defense yet.
Baylor is only scoring D ranked higher than LSU y’all faced.
And in two tries best you got to was 34.

We’ve played 5 Scoring Defenses higher than OU.
AVERAGING just under 40 in those games, and scored 37+ in 4 of the 5.

OU has three things going for them in this game:

1. The disrespect card (which has been powerful in past playoff games);

2. The fact the Grinch's D will be so fucked up and out of position in what it does that it might confuse Burrow for a while and throw off his timing; and

3. The fact that LSU's defense, while seemingly on the upswing, will still likely give up 30 points or more to OU.

All that said, I expect that OU's defense will sell out to pressure Burrow and that Burrow will destroy that first with a bunch of screens to Edwards-Helaire (he'll have massive YAC because OU sucks at tackling), next with timely scrambles, and then, once they've stopped selling out and he has more time, by bombing them over the top. LSU 49, OU 38.
