'09 MN TE/DE Ra'Shede Hageman (Minnesota Verbal)

GopherHole.com - GopherHole Quick Chat: Eric Hageman, on Ra'Shede's Wisconsin visit

10/5

Via his father: Hageman was impressed with the atmosphere at Wisconsin. Overall, he enjoyed the trip in spite of the Badgers losing. His parents didn't accompany him nor will they on any of his visits. Even though his father is a Minnesota alum he's not pressuring him to be a legacy. Still lists "The U", UW, and OSU as his top 3.

We say that every year. If I'm 'Shede and that's what I value, then I place my chips elsewhere.

Agree, especially if we run out of time with Ra'Shede. But if he's not in a hurry, I'm just basing this on a hunch(always dangerous)that Terrelle's arsenal will eventually include a lot more weapons, and once Ra'Shede visits, if he does, anything can happen.

Tremendous confidence in TP, who has one of the best sttitudes I've seen in years, imo. And when it comes to influential recruiting help, until proven otherwise, I'm not putting anything past this kid's sales & marketing ability....for now.

Ra'Shede has seen us beat both of his other favorites already this season, so it is clear program prestige is not an outstanding factor for him. He only gets to play college football once, and as the saying goes, I'd rather he goes where he is going to be happy. He will play in the Shoe either way.

For sure...if we don't utilize Ballard at TE, I don't ever see us doing it. If you want to block and have 5 balls thrown to you all year, OSU is the place for you at TE. Fragel fits the mold as the 6th OL and I can't see us getting a true pass threat without using our TE's more.

Maybe...I don't think he has officially been changed to TE. He took his group picture with the WR's if that means anything and I never heard the coaches officially say he has moved. If he does play TE, we might have a chance at attracting some pass catchers. I think we already have a great pass catcher in Ballard that we don't use and we never use Nicol much either. So I just don't think we get Hageman or Sims this year, and who could blame them?

I think, compared to Ballard, Stoneburner is a completely different type of player than , more in the Travis Beckum/Dallas Clark mold. Could see a lot of action in the slot.
