'09 MI TE/WR Dion Sims (Michigan State Signee)

Further summarizing:

Scout $

8/6

From GoSpartans...Dion's father denies the rumor that his son silently committed to Michigan State. Will make officials to UCLA, Tennessee, Miami (FL) and Ohio State. Will make unofficials to nearby UM and MSU.

Off of that list I'd definitely rather see him at MSU than any of the others (if he goes somewhere besides Columbus).

Local kid stays home...makes the Big 10 stronger & would annoy fans of TSUN.

Have to wonder what they'd be thinking when the son of a UM employee chooses MSU.

I guess the satff really want that 2nd TE. Which Hall, Berry, and Adams all looking like we had a good chance, I wonder how we fit a 2nd TE.

From what I keep hearing is we will probably take 29. We definitely want a second TE. The Adams kid from AZ along with Hall and Berry would be the 29.

That would make 28, since we currently have 24 commits. We save a spot for hall, berry, and adams. And then take eitherr Sims or hageman for the 2nd TE spot. If one of those four commits elsewhere then we will open it up again. The staff is focused on the season ahead and is dialed in on these five guys. JMO. :oh::io:

If the staff is gonna take a 2nd TE, I would really like for it to be Sims. He IMO is a great compliment to Fragel. I watched him play on TV a few times, and he really is a play maker at TE. He is blocking needs work, but he hands very good.

Fragel will be the blocking TE and will be a target in the redzone. Sims is the guy who will stretch the field and make plays in the passing game. He is in the same mold as Beckham at Wisky, he will move outside and play the slot. Where he will be a mismatch for db's because of his size and strength. And he will line up inside at TE and be a mismath for LB'S because of his speed. He is a true hybrid player that can play either TE or WR. I don't see him being used in the running game much unless he gets alot bigger, however I agree he is a perfect compliment to fragel. I would love to land him or hageman. I personally like sims more because he's a little bit faster and more athletic than hageman. JMO. :oh::io:

Couldn't of said it better myself. If we land Sims or Hageman we'll have put togather a very desevre group of young offensive talent. Good time's to be a Buckeye fan.
