'09 KS RB Bryce Brown (Tennessee one-n-done, Kansas State one-n-done)

They keep hauling in players like this and they'll be a force again come our home/away series with them...

I hate your pessimism. I don't see why Bryce couldn't switch. Miami lost 48-0 to Virginia. Miami's QB completed 1 of 14 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown and 3 Ints.

I think there are plenty of other RBs that are great, but don't count this kid out yet. I'd rather play against my brother than with my brother.

Okay, so by your first statement we shouldn't be able to haul in any recruits based on losing the past two NC's. Well, well, well, take a look at our recruiting classes.

Obviously he has a different opinion on that. He's a Miami lock, signed, sealed, and delivered.

I think you need to look through and understand the reasons behind his decision before "hating" the "pessimism" of people on this forum. There's no doubt that he is lock at Miami.....ask his bro who's there!

And that affects Bryce Brown how? And how did Wright/Freeman throw for a TD if the score was 48-0?

Miami has a monster recruiting class with a coach who is very familiar with the South Florida area recruiting wise. As we all know, South Florida is one of the best, if not the best, area for recruiting HS players in the entire country. Kids also look at the barren depth chart and are enticed by it. Plus, most of the kids coming through the ranks now started watching college football during the Miami dynasty era. Don't tell me that watching the U win so much doesn't stick in the back of their heads.

It would appear that K-State is working on him.

Kansas State Coach Bill Snyder made a stop early this week in Wichita, Kan., to visit with the top prospect in the Sunflower State and the No. 3 ranked player in the nation Wichita East running back Bryce Brown. While Brown is the top prize in the state, there are many players in the state who have taken notice of the new coach in Manhattan.

Brown Says He's Sticking With Miami

By Phil Kornblut
RB Bryce Brown (6-0 215) of Wichita, KS has been committed to Miami while taking other official visits, including one to Clemson. But Brown told Bill King of Rivals Radio that he will be sticking with his commitment to the Hurricanes where his brother is a freshman linebacker. "I'm solid with my commitment," Brown said. "I've been playing with my brother since first grade and I love playing with him. I really can't describe the feeling." Brown also visited Missouri and Oregon. He is scheduled to visit Purdue January 10th and Miami January 17th. This season he rushed for 1873 yards and 29 touchdowns.

One thing that Miami truly needs is a guy who can pound it inside, they plenty of other RBs including two others coming in (Lamar Miller and Mike James) who are outside runners. This is especially true given Miami's inconsistent OL play and recruiting, so I know they are quite happy (and fortunate) to get Brown. Too often last year I'd see opposing LBs hunt down Miami RBs on the corners. They really don't have a truly consistent go-to back.

Don't worry, the Buckeyes will be getting inside guys in Carlos Hyde and Jaamal Berry. :wink2:
