You get down to one or two spots and the class is essentially "wrapped up". In any case it is not like you can just set recruiting aside. You still have to maintain contact and interest with the committed kids which, with a class this size, is no small task.
My guess, however, is that the incentive to wrap up 2009 is to start in earnest on 2010.
Whatever number JT is looking at with the small class size currently projected for next year there has to be at least one spot he is willing to bank if he doesn't get a particular target.
