You don't actually think his commitment hinges on the outcome of that game, do you?

The outcome of the game probably won't matter, but whom he ends up rooting for will. It's like what I do with people when they are torn on a decision. I flip a coin, and ask them to call it. Then before I show it to them I ask them what they wished for when it was in the air. That is the decision.

People may appear torn, but when you are up against it you find out what you really want. That is what this game will do. He will find out whom he is really rooting for, and that could really make his decision.

Of course if one team really lays an egg that might actually sway him.

NYB=Granny Nevada??? :lol:

For some reason, and I don't know what it is, I have a strangely optimistic feeling about Adams, and LOVE this kid as a recruit. He has some ridiculous physical gifts.

But I keep the SC game and his recruitment seperate in my own mind.

I have to agree 100 per. This is a kid probably decked out in Buckeye gear his whole life, probably as late as last year...along w/his dad, an Ohio boy, who is probably just as crazy as any of the rest of us. I just don't see us missing out. Even his coach seems to be somewhat in our corner, or least not biased towards ASU, or the condoms.

Having just listened to Bucknuts weekly roundup, DuaneLong mentioned that the staff just visited Corey and that they are pushing as hard as the Buckeye staff pushes. Of course then, in the same hour of radio, Kurelic doesn't even mention Corey. So who knows.

I for one, think that we need Adams AT LEAST as much as we need Hall & Berry...maybe even more. If we get all 3...OMG! But I have to say, anybody is almost overkill to me, for 2008 that is, imho.

What if I do? Are you going to give me a frowny face? :(

No, maybe I should have meant earlier. It would be a heck of a day to decide between the two schools however. Something tells me ABC would even broadcast it.

Seems like a good time to me.

Adding Adams to Simon and Bellamy would make this class even more killer. You have a future of possible Goebel, Rowell, Mobley, Adams, Simon, and Bellamy at DT...that is one strong interior DL. I'm with you all the way Alpo...I want Adams just about as much as Berry and Hall.

I think Adams is the most valuable of the three. We're pretty set at RB and OL for 08 and 09. Adams could be a game changer. I would love to see Berry in Scarlet and Gray, he looks like a unique talent. But even without him we're in good shape. At this point, there's no reason to think that all three aren't possible. The coaching staff has been on fire.

Don't count ASU out of the chase for Adams. Dennis Erickson has done a great job of recruiting in his short time at ASU and Adams could be a home town hero if he ends up staying at ASU. ASU landed both top recruits from AZ last year and is hoping to do the same with this years crop (Devon Kennard, Corey Adams and Craig Roh). Playing every week in front of your friends, family and home town is a huge plus for a lot of recruits.

Good first post. I, for one, am not counting ASU out, and I have all the respect you can have for Erickson as a recruiter, but, in the end, Adams and his dad are Buckeyes, and with all the momentum that we have now, Erickson doesn't win this one, imho....we do!

Corey Adams grew up in AZ going to ASU games. One of Corey's teammates and supposed best friends (Kody Koebensky) has already committed to ASU for 2009. Sure, his dad is a Buckeye's fan which rubbed off on Corey, but that doesn't guarantee anything. Obviously tOSU has a better football program than ASU, but ASU is turning things around. ASU landed Gerell Robinson (#1 prospect in AZ) over ND last year when everyone though Gerell was going to ND. Obviously I have no idea what Corey is going to do, but there are no guarantee's.

You are certainly right in that there is no guarantee for OSU and nothing regarding where a kid grew up, where his teammates go, or what school his Dad is a fan of are reliable predictors of where a kid will go.

That said, if Adams wants to compete on the highest level ASU has a steep hill to climb. Some of the best evidence is your own presentation of Robinson as a recruiting coup for ASU.

He was the #14 rated player at his position last season and at that was ASUs second highest ranked non-JUCO recruit. So far this season ASUs highest rated recruit is rated #29 at his position (OSU has 15 players rated higher in this class and USC will be right with them). If that is what you call "turning things around" I hope you are a very patient person. Corey Adams WILL NOT play for a NC at ASU. And you know it.

2nd split in this thread...Reagdog has been a good visitor so far so I think we should go ahead and respect the fact that he has as much passion about ASU as we all do about tOSU and he has gone about this the right way compared to some of our past visiting fans.

However, this thread is about Corey Adams...anything else needs to be taken to the split thread here

Thanks.
