'09 AZ DT Corey Adams (Arizona State Signee)

Little bit off topic, but does it seem like more of the top kids are playing in the UA game this year than last?

I wonder if the power of ESPN will eventually make that the premier game. It also seems smart that they are "offering" kids earlier than the AA game and getting them to commit to that game early.

Here is a list and bio of all the players in the game but yes, there is a ton of top players in the UA game this year. The downside of them grabbing all these players early (for both games that is) is that I think many talented players will get left out. I think neither game should be able to invite players until some camps and combines are over.

Thanks for the list. It seems as though almost half of the guys we have offered are in the game. I may actually even check out a few of those practices they show this year.

As far as them taking players early, they are sort of the newcomers as far as games go, so it makes sense that they would try to go out there and make the offers first, kind of like Illinois in Ohio.

Wow. Sometimes you see a guy with 18 offers and it is a bunch of MAC teams, Northwestern, Indiana, Cincinnati, etc. That 18 is pretty much a who's who of college football powers.

Adams and his father talk about the family's Massillon ties and recruiting.

Arizona prep star tied to Tigertown - Massillon, OH - The Independent

I don't post on here often, but if you look at my post history I've never hidden who I am. I wrote the article. My take, from an Ohio State perspective, is that if Corey Adams ends up at Ohio State it's not because he is an Ohio State fan. It's because it's where he feels most comfortable at. My intent with the article wasn't to press recruiting, more just to put out his families' Massillon ties to our readers. I think people who check this site out also might be interested in that part as well.

I will say this, just with my short conversation with him and his dad, they seem like good people and I know I'll be rooting for him wherever he ends up.

Nice article, sounds like we have a shot.

Sounds like a good kid and a good family. Cool that he still loves Ohio. Just reading between the lines, it kind of sounds like good news for USC. He doesn't seem to fell any pressure to stay in-state and will get out and visit schools. From some of his dad's comments, he doesn't seem too high on ASU or AU. So OSU has a chance. However, it seems like even though he has a soft spot in his heart for the Buckeyes, he is more of a west coast kid.

Simply put, he is one huge dude. He'll be immediately in the two deep as a true freshman no matter where he goes.

He'll have his entire post-college life to live on the west coast...he has only four years to play for Ohio State.

Doubt he would at OSU next year.

Denlinger, Worthington, and Larimore return and he would have to beat out Goebel, Rowell, or a "slide down" by Rose/Heyward. (also Simon from this very class as well who is rated higher).

I get the main point though, he is VERY well put together and should prove to be an impact player.

I love the DTs we've been going after. It's just been athlete after athlete at the position, whether it's Mobley, Goebel, And Simon.

However, we've done a good job bringing in the bigger DTs as well with Rowell.

Adams appears to be the best of both worlds. He's huge and appears to be a heckuva athlete.
