You're right Holt, we here ARE "great":biggrin:

Seriously, and i know you've seen this in the time you've been here, our Coaching Staff makes it a point to go after kids that are quality people on and off the field. Over the years, and in this years class also, you run into situations that you didn't see coming. Obviously young guys can't be babysat 24/7 as much as you'd like them to be.

In Josh Jenkins case, our staff got in on the game real early, and were major players all the way to the end. Our staff did an A+ recruiting effort with Josh, but home state, friends, loyalties, etc. are hard obstacles to overcome. I hope that 20 years from now that Josh is still happy with his decision. He never "played" us, and I truly believe that if WVU hired anybody other than Coach Stewart that Josh would be signing with TOSU this morning. With all that being said, there's no way in heck that ANY Buckeye fan would ever dis'on Josh. It's not gonna happen at TOSU, but maybe somewhere down the road (Senior Bowl, Hula Bowl, Pro Bowl?) the "Block O" will get to line up together.

Obviously most (including myself) are disappointed that he went to VWU but as OH10 said I can appreciate him staying home. He's a good cornerstone to for WVU to start the "rebuilding" process after the RR fiasco... good luck at WVU Josh.

Congratulations Josh, I'm sorry you're not joining Buckeye Nation, but no one here can blame you for choosing your home state's university. Best of luck to you on the field and more importantly in the classroom.

By Lichtenfels...talks about his decision and says he never felt like he fit in with the OSU recruiting class.

We hear this stuff about the Brew Crew and think because they reach out to a kid it is going to be a slam dunk...but sometimes you get kids like Josh Jenkins and Cordale Scott that are just looking for something different and they have to make the decision based on what's best for themselves. Best of luck to Josh at WVU...
