'08 PA LB Shayne Hale (Pitt signee)

Free Scout

4/2

By Allen Wallace...Wallace says Shayne favors Pittsburgh, Penn State, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and Florida over Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, Temple, Mississippi and West Virginia.

I think OSU being omitted from the top list is an oversight...

Note that the list of favorites in the article is not a direct quote. This is an Allen Wallace trademark; Wallace always lists who he suspects leads rather than who actually does. I generally disregard any list of leaders/favorites in a Wallace article.

By Lichtenfels...Shayne and Cameron Saddler will be visiting this week, along with '09 prospects Corey Brown, Dorian Bell and B.J. Stevens. Brown and Bell are likely to be two of the top prospects in PA next year.

For anyone that looked, we actually had the Official/Unofficial thread updated with Hale and Saddler's visit yesterday. I will add the three underclassmen.

I see that somehow, in that miraculous scout database, that we arent even in Shane's teams contending for him.

Noticed that too...I think that is a reflection of Wallace's interview, where Shayne did not mention OSU, for whatever reason. Believe me...we are still very much in the thick of things if not in the slightest of leads for his services.
