Let's keep all the good kids in the Big Ten. Keep the Big Ten competitive and keep him away from ACC country

agree with this but i would have said 'make the Big Ten competitive'. from what i've seen this year the Big Ten needs as many big-time athletes as they can get. it will only help OSU to face better competition in-conference than what they faced this year.

You might want to check the recruiting classes coming in for 2007...

Agreed, keep them in the Big Ten.

Beware of Mr. Correction

The Big Ten took a huge step forward this year with tOSU, Wisc, MSU, Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan. We have a ton of good to great young coaches. We had 7 20 win teams and some great recruiting classes coming in. The battles wiht Indiana, Wisconsin, Purdue, Illinois, and MSU are going to be fun to watch. I also think you will see this new competitiveness of the big ten in upcoming challenges with ACC. Now we are never going to be as good of conference top to bottom as I don't see Minnesota, Penn State, or Northwestern getting much better.

Okay off my soap box and back to Mr. Roe. I still can't believe how far Matta has taken us. In the past if we lost a kid like this it would set the program back years and now

just as a comment form my own view. i think roe projects as a more traditional 4. i dont think the sf (3) reflects his style. that being said i dont really think he reflects what matta wants to bring to the table in his 4 man. great player though. should be a nice pick up for williams or izzo.

I agree, and as BB said the fact that we can pass on him, or not bring him in and still be happy is amazing...

The fact that he will be one and done in all likelihood makes his decision a little easier to swallow. I think Babbitt will give us a few more years.

I wouldnt bet on that just yet...He will probalby have quite a bit of talent in front of him at UNC and to a lesser extent MSU wherever he decides to go and he will have to develop a better outside game as 6'8' athletic PF come a dime a dozen in the NBA...

Hey, Tim!

Thursday, March 15, 2007

Q: Hey, Tim: In your opinion, do you think St. Edward basketball player Delvon Roe will commit to Ohio State or North Carolina?
-- T.J. Higgins, Mentor

A: Hey, T.J.: Roe was spotted at the North Carolina-Duke game on March 4 wearing a Tar Heels hat and shirt, according to Scout.com. But don't read too much into that. When we talked to him recently, he reminded us he also was considering Michigan, Michigan State and Kansas, in addition to Ohio State and North Carolina. Remember, he's just a junior and has plenty of time to make the decision, but probably will announce his intentions before next school year begins. The guess here is that he will pick Ohio State. Why Ohio State? It's home.

Lakewood St. Edward rules perimeter against Findlay

By STEVE JUNGA
BLADE SPORTS WRITER

Included among its abundant array of basketball talents, top-ranked Ohio powerhouse Lakewood St. Edward proved yesterday at Savage Hall it can also dominate from beyond the 3-point arc.
The Eagles (25-0) ended Findlay's memorable tournament run, dealing the Trojans a death by 3s in a 66-50 Division I boys regional championship game.

Cont'd...
