Just FYI for the peeps...

With that said it is nice to see Torrence getting the credit he deserves...I am excited to see him this year at a big school and see how he does...
OWUBuckeye51;858534; said:Word up CBF40. For me, being a former OL, the crown jewel is Block O, hopefully avec Jenkins. Adams and Brew started it all and if in fact, we do get Pryor and Jenkins, it will be due to their recruiting efforts.
DEVOE TORRENCE DOES WELL
At a high school football scouting combine last month in Pittsburgh, former Canton South running back DeVoe Torrence, now at Massillon, opened plenty of eyes. Observers say the Ohio State recruit was among the top five at the regional event. Torrence ran a 4.53 40-yard time and had his way in drills with Shayne Hill, a top-rated linebacker from Monroeville, Pa.

Devoe is working hard this summer and will be playing WLB and RB at Massillon. However, he will have to compete for carries.
This is the most open Devoe has been about possibly playing LB in college.

For the second year in a row, the Massillon Tigers will have a player up for consideration to be in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio. On Thursday, DeVoe Torrence was presented with a nomination to be one of the 80 players from across the country chosen for the all-star game, which will be played on Jan. 5 and televised nationally on NBC.

Three months ago, DeVoe Torrence arrived in Massillon with plenty of fanfare. Now, with his first two-a-day practice as a Tiger just over a month away, the senior is finding his way around the Tiger program.
?Oh yeah, it?s been fine,? Torrence said Monday evening. ?I fit right in with everybody. I?m just working hard and trying to get ready for the season.? Torrence was an All-Ohio running back at Canton South as a junior last season, rushing for 981 yards with another 645 yards receiving. He also registered 127 tackles as a linebacker.
That production paid off with a scholarship offer from Ohio State, which he accepted in March. It also garnered him a nomination to next January?s U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, one of 400 football players nationwide to gain such an honor.
?It?s very special,? Torrence said. ?It?s the biggest game of its type out there. Just being nominated is great. That?s showing my talents are paying off.?.
