They have that problem now. Mooney has played quite a few Saturday evening games the past few years while ND played Saturday afternoons. It would be impossible for the parents to attend both games (distance). I also would think the family would attend some ND away games.

I'm sure they have something worked out though.

Buzz... sorry about the JP mistake, that's the way the event ad was written. I knew Hall was the o coord, but it just didn't register at the time.

I made two statements...the first being that if Dan makes his decision public at that time that it didn't mean he was trying to "show up" Ohio State or Coach Tressel...the second being that Jim Tressel would be unlikely to take such an announcement as a personal slight.

Which exactly do you disagree with?

Like I said, he would never try to "show up" anyone. What I disagree about with you is the announcement time would NOT be good. You think it wouldn't matter. That's where I differ with you.

He will not announce during that time if he is going to ND.

Just passing along info from others - ND guys of mine. I'm hearing July 10th as the day he announces. Any of you hearing same or different?

And a follow up: anyone know if Tressel, or any of the other coaches from schools in his top 5, will be at the camp both days?

If you go to Bucknuts, (not the Scout site,)Gary Housteau visited Mooney the other day and watched summer workouts. He is reporting (premium) that McCarthy will soon announce that he has trimmed his school choices to TWO.

If he has decided on ND, hands down, why announce that two schools are still in the running? I do not have premium and cannot tell you what his two favorites are.

I don't know if Tressel will be there both days but I do know he will also be in Y-town on the 12th for the Mooney outing, along with Dan's top five school reps.

I mentioned Gary Housteau, who writes for bucknuts and is a Y-town native and very close to the Mooney program. If Dan told him he has made his decision and will announce it on the 10th, GH would have reported it. Again, he reported two schools are left.

Most ND insiders are claiming he will announce on the 10th. If that is the case, then he better announce the final two in the running soon, wouldn't you think?

IC... It doesn't matter if Tressel is at the camp both days 9-10, (I see your reasoning for asking.) because he will still be in town with YSU HC Jon Heacock and the other coaches through Sunday, the day of the outing.

If you are not familiar with the name Heacock, his brother coaches the D at OSU.

You better not hope Dan announces on the 10th, with JT still hangin around. The news might not be good for ND fans.

IC... I really screwed up. I kept saying the outing was on the 12th when it is on Sunday the 8th. The camp is on the 9th and 10th.

Tressel will probaly stay till the 9th, so maybe McCarthy will announce right after that. Sorry for the brain cramps.

Claims five still in the hunt: PSU, Stanford, UM, ND, and OSU (somebody goofed - Bucknuts said its down to four, hinted that its really two).

Mentions teammate Zorich, family's connection to Tressel, Stoneburner and Brewster calling him up, and possibility of playing with brother Kyle.
