Matta is literally picking stars out of the sky. This class has NC hopes written all over it right out of the gates as did the '06 class and the '07 class too. We're spoiled right now, so try to remember this time as recruiting junkies.

The classes of 2007 and 08 will be very very hard to guard with shooters with real size that can play outside (Koufos, Diebler and Babbitt) and guards that can get to the rim (Oufitt, Crater). With amazing athletes everywhere else, these teams give others major match-up problems.

a PF who can shoot from the perimeter seems to be what Matta likes

What coach doesn't like that?

Matta seems to have elevated the Ohio State basketball program to where Duke, North Carolina, etc. are; i.e. he doesn't have to recruit, he just selects. :)

Welcome aboard Luke.

Welcome aboard, Luke!!!

Now, Matta can get started on that '09 class of his.

Ditto to everything!

On the down side, i'm a little concerned that we dont have a committ for '09 yet. What's Matta doing? I think that he needs to work a little harder.

Boy what an awesome time to be a Buckeye!

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Luke Babbitt waited until leading his high-school team to a state championship last weekend before taking care of his next order of business. But he had known he wanted to play basketball for Ohio State since visiting in January and watching the Buckeyes beat Michigan State before an amped crowd in Value City Arena. "I didn?t know much about the program before the visit," he said. "But after the visit ? I just felt comfortable with the whole situation. I?ve got a lot of family back in Ohio. I?m from Ohio. And they?re ranked No. 1 right now, so, obviously, they?re doing something right."
