'07 WI OL/DL Josh Oglesby (Wisconsin signee)

What's the point of speculating about any of this right now when none of us knows exactly how Josh is feeling about ND, OSU or any other school for that matter? Why don't we wait until the kid gets some more offers, takes some unofficial visits, meets some coaches, takes some official visits, and then sits down and makes the decision that is best for him? The similarities between this thread and the Martin thread are uncanny. Everyone has heard from someone's friend's sister's cousin's roomate in college's camp girlfriend's mailman's barber that Oglesby and Martin are leaning one way or another. To paraphrase someone else (I forget who it was, but it was a brilliant comment), this time last year everyone was moaning about Wells being a Michigan lean. And how did that turn out? The only undeniable fact about Martin and Oglesby's recruiting and where OSU stands with them is that we have as good a chance as anyone of landing them right now. Outside of that is all pure speculation unless you hear it from one of their mouthes.

All I can say is at least we aren't like the ND fans I've heard about who are claiming they are going to swipe 6-7 of the top 10 in Rivals early 2007 rankings (in addition to Dailey and Oliver...0 for 1 so far fellas). Arguing with most uninformed ND fans is pointless because they are convinced they are getting everyone solely because their Rivals website happens to be doing a lot of updates after their Junior Day, which was one of the first this year. If you want to really discuss ND's chances with kids like Martin or Oglesby, I suggest you talk to people like NDChief or acexline on BP.

Now that is what I call a great post. I think you can just go ahead and give yourself a GPA for that one.

Keep in mind there were guys claiming that Gibson was a scUM lock and Small was going to be the first to not take the Glenville to Ohio state route and go to USC.

Early speculation while it is all for fun is stupid when people repeat the same thing about 50 times.

II RC ND picked up several highly rated OLs in the last two years. Our depth chart has to look appealing to any stud OL. The cupboard isn't bare but early playing time is there for the taking.
Apparently their OL class was full of Guards and RTs, so Oglesby has nothing to fear................according to domer homers :roll2:
